I just wonder when the bubble will burst and transfers will return to semi reasonable. I’m sorry. I just don’t believe a player like rice is worth anywhere near that value. Now if he was Irish then maybe ?.

Zoe - they are only going to get worse now that the Saudi’s have decided to take over football and most other sport that has a global presence, no doubt. The fact that the leading four clubs are owned by the same people leads to the inevitable conclusion that they are just playing with themselves.

I fuken love that you got my name as absolutely wrong as you can possibly get in the alphabet. Autocorrect is a duck. All joking asideI completely agree with what you say mate. It’s just madness. Many things wrong in the sport right now.

Why is 70m so unbelievable for some? If the gooners can ask 50m for their American who is on loan somewhere, why can't palace ask for 70m for a proven premier league player. who will be a starter?

I agree that some valuations are ridiculous, but we can't complain about some teams and not others. Again. fickle much?

The thing is, some stupid idiot with a cheque book will pay 50m for this Balogun, and possibly even 50m for the king that is Mr Harry Maguire.

At the end of the day, those with the money and are desperate enough, will pay these stupid inflated prices. I just hope that we are not desperate.

I mean 70m is surely go away money? Palace don't want to sell and don't expect us to pay 70m so have put a number on it that reflects their stance?

So agree with whoever said move on, you'd only go in if Palace softened their stance.

We may as well add a bit go for Caicedo if he’s worth that.

Palace can ask whatever they want cos they do not need to sell, end of. So to get him, we will have to make them an offer they can't refuse which they have already mentioned as 70m. Where's the surprise here?

I’m sure if Real came in for Bajetic now we would be demanding at least 50 mill for him despite him only starting a handful of premier league games.

Could Palace really afford to turn down £50M? I doubt it, Zaha isn't signed up to stay so they could need to sign another forward as well so I don't know would they really turn down £50M if they received an offer.

I haven't noticed him so I don't know if he would be a good signing or not but I do agree the £70M minimum sounds like too much.

I get ya wanderer. Was just having fun with an incredibly unwitty remark. I’m an iPhone typer myself. The things we endure. Bobby mate I get what you are saying. I’m complaining about the entire market. Not just rice. I should have clarified that. It’s just insane to me how big the transfers are getting. Or else I’m just acting the old lad here a few thoughts away from saying “in the old days you could buy 5 players and a new training ground for that etc” My original point was wondering if it’ll all just going to burst. Surely it’ll get to a point where transfers can get no higher if ffp are to be enforced. I don’t know- I don’t understand finances and maybe the clubs are balancing everything perfectly.
