at the end of the season. Ed002, what in the world is going on at Liverpool? should we be concerned?

{Ed002's Note - As I have explained, the club is being sold and will have new owners rather than new investors with FSG. I would not be worried.}

Ed002 now all the dust has settled and all the people in the worlds top 10 rich list are buying the club has stopped have you heard of any concrete news of any real interest.
Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of a number of parties declaring an interest with some looking for partners to bid with. This includes American investors and two potential Saudi Arabian bidders, and a Korean bidder who is also looking to partner. A number of interested parties have a financial interest in other sides they would need to submit a schedule to UEFA to resolve the issue.}

Hi Ed 002

Could we see the two potential Saudi bidders partnering up?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No, one is already a consortium and the other seems less likely .}

Does this mean the Dubai one has backed out ed?

{Ed002's Note - At this time I don't believe that they have a declared interest.}

All ends up none of it looks particularly good. If we end up with Saudi Arabians they’ll only ever be one Turkish embassy invite away from the owner disappearing into thin air if they annoy MBS.

The American ones I’m writing off as bad news, as I’m sure it’s the same cheapskate private equity dudes being mentioned elsewhere and the South Korean looking to partner fills me with absolutely no confidence whatsoever and shouts “broke as a joke”.

Meanwhile, United are being linked with a takeover by Apple.

Thanks ed002 for the reply.

One final question,

Has any group yet made a concrete offer for the whole purchase of the club or is it still early days?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is too soon for anything like that.}

What about this Indian fella ed02.8th richest guy on the planet by all accounts. anything regarding him? .

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of him being interested.}

Hi Edd002

About your earlier post with regards to possible buyers of LFC, Saudi Arabia's sports ministerial said in an interview this afternoon thart ts government would "definitely support" private sector Saudi bids for Liverpool or Manchester United.

In what way would they support a bid? What with them having purchased Newcastle?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - It means they would not object to Saudi businessmen making a bid - and as I said there are two potential bidders.}

Have a feeling it will be Saudi owners.

Not object to them rivalling Newcastle I'm guessing?

Thanks for the info.

{Ed002's Note - Then would become third party interference if they objected.}

@VVVV, like you I’m concerned about the outcome of any full scale takeover of the club. I guess there is an element of ‘better the devil you know’ with FSG, and based on a lot of threads over the past few weeks it is fairly obvious that we are not alone. That said, it’s not helping the conversation about potential new owners by slating each and every potential owner every time a thread begins. There are a lot of us worried about the situation - any chance we can take that as read until somebody at least tables a bid?

VVVV mate, tone down the negativity will you. All i see is you posting negative comment on every single thing being mention here.

And why would the like of Apple, Amazon, Microsoft etc would want to buy a football club. It doesn't make any sense is it.
