Ed, it's been said Liverpool are considering going in for Juventus player Federico Chiesa Anything you know about that.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Federico Chiesa (LW/F) A third party has informed Juventus of possible interest from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and with sanctions this may lead Juventus to consider a sale, although they would prefer a new contract. Spurs, Newcastle, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal interest seems to have gone. Aston Villa interest will go nowhere. Liverpool would be an option but it seems unlikely as they seem well stocked for versatile forwards, particularly left-sided forwards. Spurs are likely to try and get agreement early on. Seen as a Felix replacement by Atletico. Ongoining injury concerns but a one year extention to his contract will allow his agent and Juventus to negotiate next season - and I suspect that will happen.}

I’d hope we look at his injury history and swiftly move on.

We should just swap Nunez for Felix. Nunez perfect Simeone type of player and Felix could play Bobby role perfectly.

Bobby was unique. We built a whole team around him and every recent player who gets asked who their best team mate was, says it was Bobby. You can’t just find some cheap knock off and try and recreate that. Nobody before or since did exactly what Bobby did. We have to move on and build something new instead of trying to turn a player like Felix into something he’s not.

{Ed025's Note - outside of the Liverpool fan base im not sure that other supporters rated Bobby that highly MK, but there is nothing wrong with over-egging one of your own i suppose mate..

Brummy, Felix couldn’t handle the pace and physical nature of the premier league the last time he was here.

That’s fine Ed025, his coaches and his team mates knew what they had in Bobby!

He was very unique though regardless of how good you think he was. Never seen a player with such an odd blend of skills. A Central Defensive Striker was a new one on all of us!

{Ed025's Note - in the end its all about opinions MK, it would be a boring old world if we all thought the same mate..

Ed25 don't wind him up. We both know Bobby was the lube on our marigolds!

{Ed025's Note - my penchant has always been for a left handed boxing glove Pearljam, but i suppose we all have our own vices mate.. :)

Totally agree on Bobby, @MK.

He has an excellent football instinct, for want of a better term. He was my favourite player in Jurgen’s time and the only one who really came close in terms of instinct was Thiago.

Such a pity that Thiago’s body wasn’t up to the pace of PL and 60 games a season. I suspect if it had been and with the two of them ‘on song’ we’d have won a couple more trophies, at the very least.

Did vvd not recently say Bobby was the best player he played with? Would give anything for another prime Bobby an absolute pressing machine and fantastic playmaker, generational talent.

{Ed025's Note - yeah SR, considering all the world class players and generational talents you have had over the years...that you would have won more mate, its quite strange that really dont you think?.. :)

If we had Bobby over nunez this season and our winger tucked in like the olden days we’d have definitely done better, 90 + points for 3 seasons and 3 ucl finals. If the premier league acted promptly and punished city we would have 3 more prems at least and probably a couple as fa cups. Klopp achieved more in 9 years than saf did in his first 9.

Felix?

Maybe that well known Hungarian prodigy Whiskas or his team mate Kitekat might do better? ?.

I won't say Bobby was a great striker, but his work rate, defensive capabilities and selflessness is not something you'd easily find in players these days. He was the player to complement Mane and Salah, but on his own, I don't think he was prolific enough. Having said that, I do regard Bobby highly because of the values he has.

@ed25 that's because of the refs mate ;-) they've got it in for us don't you know.

{Ed025's Note - i should have taken that into consideration Phil your right mate.. :)

@Ed25 - the squad we had didn’t do too bad mate - if we could guarantee that we would win the League Cup, FA Cup, PL, CL and World Club Cup in the next 5 or 6 years with Arne, playing attacking football that is good and exciting to watch I’d definitely sign-up - for the better part of a year 19/ 20 we were the best team on the planet and we, as Liverpool fans, were very, very lucky to be around when it happened, (here’s the bast thing) nobody can take away the memory or belittle the skill of the players that did it.

{Ed025's Note - i think you have had a brilliant time of it WDW and in all probability should have won more, if it wasn,t for the serial cheats along the East Lancs im sure you would have mate, just dont rub it in.. :)
