Good luck to Mo in Turkey!
It will feel strange when the season kicks off and he is not on the right wing, but all good things must come to a end.
I don't think Salah will ever play in Saudi as that league is not competitive enough for a man of his calibre.
May i also take the chance to thank Ned, The Fields, Robbo, Victor Goodman and Carra for putting there neck on the line to provide us with the ins and outs of all things Lfc.
To all the Eds and posters, have a great weekend!

I was about to post similar, and express some surprise at the salary as it's so (relatively) low.
However, his agent (Abbas) has said that nothing is agreed yet.
So, not sure what to think?!

To me, it looks like Mo doesn't want to play in Saudi. He has two daughters who would be massively impacted in how they've grown up; moving to a country like that would be a complete 180 for how they've been in the UK.

Kloppers,
Saudi is light years ahead of the UK and I enjoyed my visit to riyadh. Clean, no crime and nothing's run down. Yes the law's are still strict in some regards but the people were extremely pleasant.
Saudi also doesn't take the Neighboring "refugee's" For national security reasoning amongst other common sense things.
Look at the state of half of the big uk cities. Resemble the third world and you think that Saudi is the third world.

@Ron, as an immigrant myself, I think that's an extremely narrow view.
The issue in the UK isn't the least powerful people, it's the most. The massive wealth transfer from the poorest to the richest over the last 20 years, plus the incredibly weak job market, is the reason the UK is getting worse.
It has little to do with some dude delivering pizzas for min wage.

Saudi Arabia is light years ahead of the UK unless you're a woman. Or gay.
{Ed001's Note - or a domestic worker, construction worker etc.}

How long were you in Riyadh, @Ron?

It appears that Ron's ignorance stretches beyond the quality of footballers. Jesus

You're mentioning woman with what's going on every where across Europe? And that report that recently came out. Our own "legal system" Which let's our own ped0s walk, higher ups walk and people jailed for wrong thought? The world is growing and evolving outside of the West, which is allowing itself to be destroyed. Some of you live in very small bubbles.
And mention of construction workers elsewhere, when large companies are paying people here with no papers here to deliver food and taxi young women around. It's turning out great for the women you let on you care about.
Saudi is not perfect but it's light years ahead if you like a clean environment and society. where at least their laws are upheld.

England has regressed, with 80s economic vibes for those old enough to remember. Graduate and youth prospects are tough right now, I'm hearing it first hand all the time through my children's networks.
More worryingly was talk yesterday politically of the virtues of the 1970's. We're really badly led in this country by all persuasions of policy makers, I wouldn't necessarily swap it for many countries but the general sentiment about a feeling of decline is a valid one.
Football is similar, and like politics if we got rid of some of the leaders in FIFA we'd see things starting to move to a more positive place. We can live in hope.

Or a refugee.
What's wrong with taking refugees in?

"Refugee."
Rigsby, contact your local council and arrange a room.

When I still lived in the UK I hosted four refugees in total over a 5 year span in my spare room. All of them male between 25-41. Two Afghanis and one Iraqi and one Sudanese.
Never had any issues with any of them at all beyond initial language barriers. They all found work. They were polite, friendly and all respectful of my brazilian wife too. Unfortunately Ron rightwing media has convinced you of something you seem to have little experience with. I have it first hand and it runs counter to the wealthy elites narrative or blaming everything on immigrants, refugees and poor people.
Incidentally I've travelled around the world quite a bit and in every country it's always rightwing politicians influencers and media who blame foreigners and never look to their own failings. Even your previous Saudi blame all their problems on external influences and never question their own belief systems as the source of the problem.

Funky, if you can't answer my question then just say so. If my family, friends or neighbours were in danger, I would offer to put them up, temporarily.
But I think most foreigners would be safer in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, etc., than my spare room, so I'd be less accommodating.
Nevada, great post, that, mate.
An' another fing, do many of you actually think what it would be like to be a refugee?
If mine and my family's lives were in danger, for whatever reason, I'd have no problem going to Ireland, France or Belgium to seek refuge. And I would hope that it would be granted because it's the right and humane thing to do.
