Hendo will never be a Gerrard - hell most players could never be like him! However, we miss him when he's not in the side.
He does a lot of dirty work in the middle of the park, no one can say that he doesn't put 100% commitment and effort on the pitch.
He's a decent player and is a worthy captain.
He only needs to add some finishing quality in his play. Problem is that often (save a few games) he and Can don't often provide the incisiveness on the pitch when they play together.

Thought we'd left things too late - but hen again loads of clubs did - bit like last minute Xmas shopping when the shops are closing!
As for PC - would still take the money and let him go. the lad isn't like Suarez in terms of having a nasty, competitive streak, that knuckled down in his last season.
But part of me wants Klopp and FSG to stick two fingers up at Barcelona and stick PC in the reserves for a while for his behaviour.
Bit torn on this one as we will need him - at least until January now at least!

If he goes to reserves then you could see Sky broadcasting most of the matches from reserve league. He is simply that good mate! like you I am too disappointed we made everything late and never actually tried finding a player that comes close to him!

That's the issue mate! He is one of those player your could genuinely say irreplacable. Probably the most important player after Xabi Alonso! He makes the game so easy.

Overboard as usual, Harry. Cou is our best player and even tho, he has been a prat, he is still ours as we can't sell w/ o a replacement as that is bad business. Stick him in the reserves and deal with him the same way we dealt with Suarez (apology, fine, and training alone) and all should be fine.

Mane is our best player I think! We've not missed pipco! all this transfer might turn out to be a blessing he might give us one more year and play out of his skin and leave with some winners medals then get his big move!

I actually think we won't struggle as much in terms of results and performance when Coutinho leaves as we did wth Suarez. Like or dislike his personality Suarez not only had amazing ball control and finishing but his threat opened up a different world for Sturridge and scared the crap out of teams. Coutinho is a different position and player anyway but I think the club has enough players to ensure the gap isn't exposed, maybe not as creative but Mane, Salah and Firminho as a trio will create, will score, will pin opposition sides back and force them to be more defensive and as I say I don't think the level of performance or results will be significantly changed. Yes there is the need to keep those 3 fit but then Coutinho has had niggles and injuries as well so more a matter of having quality of cover now.
