Wow. That's why we support the best club in the world. Thank you boys.

Just want to say that I'm really proud of the youngsters today. Well done boys. Against a very experienced WH, I think we did really well.

The kids showed why we don't need signings this window. With Ojo, Smith, Stewart and Tex, we have what we need till the end of the season. That was WH's first elen and we outplayed them and based on the full content of the game, should have won it. I also thought Benteke showed some speed n movement as well as good strength to fight off his CB's. Even tho our passing was wayward atimes due to lack of rhythm/ teamwork or eagerness to do well, our boys did the club proud. And what about Pirlo I mean, Allen with the acrobatic scissor kick and all?

Out of curiosity who were the young players?

3.) 30 Jan 2016 21:04:22
Anybody under the age of 40 is now young.

Nice to see some positivity and 'grown-up' opinion on the game. I was beginning to think it wasnt possible listening to most of the drivel being spouted on the live chat.

The amount of negativity and harassing of the squad at the moment is getting seriously f*cking beyond and quite frankly embarrassing. It's like listening to a bunch of backseat drivers weighing in with expert opinions on the way the game should be played and managed, nothing constructive. Cross that with the outbursts of annoying 6 year old who constantly throws tantrums and makes his parents blush and I think we're just about there for a lot of posters.

Today's squad, in large, consisted of extremely inexperienced players, players returning from injury and fringe players. If you don't wanna call them young, that's cool but whatever your opinion. the spine of the squad were INEXPERIENCED.

In the grand scheme of things I think they played really well as a whole. Yes West Ham weren't at there best but they fielded a way more experienced side, and if I'm honest when I saw the team sheets I feared we'd get beaten. Quite possibly get our arse handed to us on a plate.

How wrong I was. We were lucky not to come away with a win. I think there were lots of positives to be taken from this game. I applaud Klopp for fielding that side today. I know he had to rotate but having the courage to play that team against what he knew would be a strong West Ham side took balls.

We are in a league Cup final
We are still in the Fa Cup
We are through to the Europa 32
We are 7th in the League.

Yes we didn't get 'Tex' or Ter Stegen but maybe if people had the mental ability to see past the next week or how some other clubs have World-Class names amd we don't it may be possible to understand that in the summer things will be changed and things may become clearer.

I'm not implying this to everyone by the way. There is positivity on here and a lot I enjoy reading from people. but the unproductive, negative 'I don't see where we go from here, this squad is pathetic' bullshit I read day in day out is getting royally on my tits.

Great post Smallsy.

What a difference having a manager who is willing to give kids a shot. Really pleased with the improvement in quality from game to game. While we didn't score, I think the run of play was in our favour most of the match. There's a lot of youth potential which BR would never have discovered. Klopp is like a breath of fresh air.

7.) 31 Jan 2016 01:19:23
These 'kids' have grown quickly. From a last gasp draw at Exeter, to a competitive match against our modern day bogey team. I am impressed and happy that we have future players without serious dipping into funds.

A replay just means we get to see them shine again, and important for their growth, education and development. Bring it on, I say.

Ballsy great post mate and spot on Unfortunately todays society is full of 'lounge experts' who find it far easier to tear strips off our guys than actually get off their keyboards and 'have a go'themselves. I have been ashamed of our so called fans lately and am constantly left wondering what 'You'll never walk alone'actually means to all of us.

9.) 31 Jan 2016 03:13:27
Sorry Smallsy not Ballsy. haha!

I'm normally a more positive guy too but I don't think having "a manager willing to give the kids a chance" has anything to do with it. He hasn't really had any other choice. That was essentially our 2nd team out there. I like some things about Klopp but the Godlike status he gets on here is kindof absurd.

So Pato as apparently reached an agreement with Chelsea.
Can't wait for all the "missed another target" talk to start!

I know we all get excited during the silly season and in all honesty, always nice when a new player joins. Although we LFC supporters have this awful habit of slagging off any new player before they are even given a chance!
Right now, I would just like Klopp to try and fix the issues that have haunted us for the past several years.
The biggest issue for me, and has been a very big problem of late, is our lack of ability to defend set pieces.

I'm a firm believer that if we defend well, and make it harder for teams to score, that's half the battle won. If we don't concede, we don't lose, simply really. Don't you think?

On a final note, I'd like to suggest something here (and let's see how far this can stretch) .
I'd like to suggest that we all start supporting everyone associated to LFC. Let's stop having a go at the owners, coaches, staff, players, etc. Let's show everyone what it means to be a LFC supporter.

Everyone says we are very Knowledgeable when it comes to footy, so let's start showing it.

Who knows what a positive attitude can bring to a club.

Atleast ed002 will be happy, I'm sure he said he was useless and we shouldn't be looking at him.

2.) 20 Jan 2016 18:23:16
Joe - I think it is the opposite, our problem is that on the one hand we play a very attacking open game, that expose our defence to a lot of attacks and a lot of set pieces and on the other hand we don;t score goals. If our scoring numbers would have matched our style of play and the chances we creat, no one would look too much on our defence, because a game like agaisnt ManU we would have won 2:1 or 3:1. If we start score I don;t think our defence look so bad.

3.) 20 Jan 2016 18:20:38
Pegleg, you are awere ed002 is a chelsea fan, ye?

4.) 20 Jan 2016 22:40:46

Again, why sign another CB?
We still have Lucas at the club who could easily slot into CB should the need arise.
All dependant if Lucas stays obviously, personally, I think he will.
