Hi Ed's. Long time supporter for the site first time poster. I was wondering what you thought of Perrotti and Strootman of Roma? I was on my honeymoon in Naples last week so the wife and I went to see Napoli vs Roma. Both players were impressive and very composed on the ball something we lack at time.
{Ed001's Note - Diego Perrotti is about 30 and is very inconsistent. On his day he can be excellent but his final ball lets him down. Most of the time he is just a good winger, he just tends to raise himself for the big games.
Strootman has hard far too many bad injuries to even be considered for signing but is a very good player when fit.}

I agree with you on Strootman. He is a great midfielder, but as Ed says there is an historical injury concern.
Perotti i wouldn't take though. He's very good but he's just a bit old i think. What did you make of Florenzi? I thought he was one of the best players on the pitch. He's had injury troubles in the past too though.
{Ed001's Note - Florenzi can't defend imo. Gets cut to shreds far too easily by attackers.}

I've always admired strootman and have also wondered whether we should sign him. Didn't know about his injuries though.

I think we've been linked with Perotti about 3 times over the last 8 or so years. Would have liked him back then as hopefully he could have been coached into some consistency.
