I don't think Can has played enough in his proper position to have his discipline questioned yet.
The manager asked him to play an extremely difficult, pressing fullback role last season.
Yes he was exposed for a run of games, that is for sure. But it was his first year in the league.
C'mon. that flick pass assist to Sterling in the FA Cup against Bolton?
You can't coach or teach those kind of skills.
I love Lucas -- and I also love the idea of a DM on the pitch, however, that is not set up the manager seems to have in his plans.
So if we are going to play a 3 midfield or even a 4 diamond set up I think the strength and pace of Milner, Hendo, & Can will definitely benefit us.
Stoke are an aggressive and physical team. They always play us tough, but if Can/Hendo/Milner can impose their physicality and pace over their midfield we should be able to dictate the match.
Between the three of them, they do not get pushed off the ball much. They are all physically strong players and if they all gel mentally, who knows what the potential might be.
Yes they all have their weaknesses and perhaps I'm being a bit too optimistic. But I feel pretty good thinking about a front of Can/Hendo/Milner, feeding to Couts/Firmino, then Benteke.

Can is a beast and the only reason we are having this conversation is because BR, the man who signed him, has no idea of how to develop and harness his undeniable talent. Yet, many have said BR is the best at getting the best out of young players. I don't know which young players they are talking about because he NEVER goes to watch their games nor play them unless forced to by injuries or owners' orders.

Good bussiness done so far if the benteke move goes threw do you think BR will look to buy a cb i know there a a lot on the books but i don't rate them as liverpool cb if so have any been looked at

We have too many CB with us, But Apart from Sakho who would be a regular starter?, I have no idea behind the signing of Gomez, Skrtel is everyman's last choice. Lovern has been poor, Toure is very old to play 30 games a season. That leaves us with only Sakho and Llori for the whole season.
One Injury to Sakho and we are back to square one.
