United fan here, was wondering if any of you could comment about Sterling refusing to go on tour with you to Australia? The lad seems like a right problem and maybe £40 million should be taken now? He is not worth that so why hang on for more, when he is toxic to the squad?

If city do come back with a third higher bid I think it will be accepted, his attitude stinks and we need rid before it starts to effect the team

2.) 08 Jul 2015 04:14:31
Because why not? Why not try and get the highest possible fee for him. But it's true, the runt needs to be kicked to the curb

3.) 08 Jul 2015 04:41:19
Sterlings gone, sooner the better for me. I hope the Glazers offer 60 mil :)

4.) 08 Jul 2015 05:58:44
Probably wantiing to clear 15mil on the Benteke deal so waiting for 47.5mil.

5.) 08 Jul 2015 06:13:31
Why does his attitude stink? Because he's annoyed with BR for talking about what a fabulous contract offer the club gave him thus leading to him getting called all sorts of ridiculous names? He's done himself no favors since, but the idiotic comments by his manager kicked off the whole mess to begin with.

6.) 08 Jul 2015 06:46:54
He has 2 yrs on his contract, City are super-rich,QPR are due a cut, we have 8 weeks left to sell him.

7.) 08 Jul 2015 08:25:47
There is nothing wrong if a player wants out from the club. Some fans need to grow up. We have bought 6 players and 9 last summer all wanted to leave their club.
Didn't lovern made a mess to force his move to Liverpool last summer?

{Ed001's Note - so did Lallana.}

There's blame on all sides but the bottom line is there's something about Sterling that a lot of Liverpool fans don't like or identify with.

Rodgers should have straight batted questions about his contract but to be factually correct and say the club he represents has offered Sterling a fabulous contract is hardly a crime. He didn't mention 100k or any details for gods sake.

Saying Sterling is one of the best young players in Europe is also backed up by the fact that he's about to be sold for a ridiculous fee.

FSG could have sorted his contract off the back of finishing 2nd but the club gambled and have (with hindsight) misjudged things.

Sterling saw Suarez go, it was all on him up front, he gets abuse because he's struggling in a strange position and his agent gets into his ear saying LFC have disrespected him and we can both earn more cash by forcing a move.

Slightly unsavoury but a familiar football tale this one. Sell him, move on. He'll be viewed like Owen in years to come. Good player but little love for him.

Agree with you ED01, When others force their way out to come to us, We slate their club with all possible excuses out there. When our players force their way out, We slag the player.
Not being bitter but after watching football through out my life, I could guarantee that Sterling would go on to become a top class player given they play him where he is deadly.

The overwelhming Love affair for Ibe from some fans make my laugh pretending we are perfectly all right.( let's hope he does )

Boom

Sterling would have singed the deal ages ago, had Liverpool being comfortably inside the Top4 which we should have been.
I wouldn't balme the kid for wanting to move out only problem with the way he choose smiliar to the Club.

Lets face it, He has more chance to win the title with City than at Liverpool.

I remember two years ago exactly in this page, Sterling along with Suso and couple of others were in the bracket of ". future looking bright. " Liverpool players.

11.) 08 Jul 2015 09:38:24
Boom, if memory serves me correctly, I can't recall many, if any, Liverpool fans having a problem with Sterling until it became clear he wanted to move on. The way Liverpool fans are reacting to him, with the hate and vitriol, is simply typical of the modern day supporter.

12.) 08 Jul 2015 11:01:47
Brisbane - I agree with you to a certain extent. The real abuse only started with the greedy stuff but a lot of my mates have always thought there's something about him that you don't warm to. Lewis Hamilton's another one. Phil Taylor. The type of arrogance that gets kicked out of you in school in Merseyside.

13.) 08 Jul 2015 11:25:39
Why does his attitude stink? Because at this moment he is still under contract at Liverpool and we are still paying his wages so if we ask him to come on tour with us he should be coming on tour with us. If he wants to leave because he feels he is honestly above us then I accept that, I have no problem with the likes of suarez or alonso leaving as they deserved their moves, u hear about ibe cutting his holidays for extra shooting training then u see sterling being caught taking legal highs twice. He doesn't want to be at the club and his negative attitude towards the club will effect the other players if we keep him much longer

Another season at WB role and you could see Ibe pushing for a move on a beter note and different manner.
Apart from Countinho I haven't seen a lot who genuinely love the Club ( don't shoot me ).

Hi Scouse lot, United fan here! I have read a few posts about your failed bid for Kolonkyapa or however you spell it, and believe its a case of foreign owners knowing the amount if money available from English clubs and just wanting to line their own pockets? I hoped you failed, but only so we can have a better even though slim chance of catching you for fourth! Even with our rivalry, I would still prefer the top clubs be not the cash cows of Citeh and Chelski! Good luck, and best team for third and fourth place!
