I know little to nothing about lavia or caicedo.
What I do know is for the last couple of weeks it's been a bit depressing with what seems ages like we was dragging our heels over lavia. To then be prepared to smash British transfer record for caicedo. I'm not down because he rejected us that happens I'm quite buoyed by the fact we actually have money for the right player.

If we wanted lavia we would have paid the £50 mill. Clearly we didn’t have full faith in him. We wanted caicedo he wanted Chelsea fair play to him, the fact we do have money available for either one top top midfielder or two with potential Is the best news.

Totally agree. Poch won’t be there in a year as they have 60 players and 2 dressing rooms for their players to get ready in. Lavia will be shipped to Strasbourg on loan to play for the Chelsea b team then loaned for a further 7 years and sold with 3 years left on his contract. While we are winning more trophies.

@Beckers, totally agree mate, the churn in players season on season is astonishing.

For the amount of money spent in the past couple of years, the return on outlay (not sure it’s investment, at least in terms of the apparently disposable playing staff) a mid-table finish in the PL last season suggests that the plan isn’t working.

Plus of course, the recent FFP punishment and the apparent suggestion, according to a BBC report, of further investigations would suggest that all is not well.

Players reject us to join other clubs and vice versa so nobles ground has been broken here. Aldo I do not recall anyone at the club saying the club is broke and has no money. IMO, it is many in the fan base that project this fake news onto the club and the hierarchy whenever the club dies not sign who they want nor diens the large amounts of money they think should be sent.

For me as I understand things, it has always been a case that if a deal can be done fir the player we want, the club will push the boat out, explore it and try to get it done (plenty of examples to choose from) however, this is hard to grasp for them cos we are in the world we’re things are dumbed down to “Did we win or did we lose” so who cares about the complications that happen with each transfer? That’s too boring.

The club will do what it does based invitee system they have and believe in that has worked and won’t care about what anyone thinks of them. That’s it, imo.

They were not playing for powerful teams.

All the other players we have allegedly looked at. I know a bit about.
Caicedo and Lavia I know very little.


Are they being over hyped to push their price up?

We are specifically targeting players and won’t pay more than we feel is a fair price. Seems like a good way to do business to me.

Chelsea are just throwing stupid money at any Tom dick or Harry that other clubs scout. Added to that they have sold 2 of their best players over the last 2 seasons to 2 of their direct rivals! Talk about stupidity! And one of those players was an academy graduate who should’ve gone on to be their club captain.

They are giving ridiculously long contracts to everyone which we know doesn’t work. If it did then everyone would’ve been doing it for years but good old Todd thinks he knows better! Lunacy!

The circus is in town and Todd Boely is standing in the middle of the big top wearing a huge top hat shouting roll up, roll up!

Beckers Pecker, seriously? You’re calling Chelsea a “circus” for doing good business? Just reeks of bitterness. They’ve sold numerous players this summer for good money and are creating a good team. That “circus” may well win the league in the next few years, whilst Liverpool is still scraping around in the bargain basement and fighting in the conference league.

Personally I’m not surprised in Caicedo wanting Chelsea despite their poor season last year, they’ve clearly got a great vision and plan for the future while Klopps “rebuild” is clearly showing why he has never lasted long enough at a club to be able to rebuild a squad. You will be very lucky to be top four next season whilst I’m certain the “circus” will finish well above you.

I agree with Beckers. I posted this yesterday but it wasn't posted for some reason. Chelsea are a bit of a circus in my opinion. Why would a player move there at the moment?
