Not meant as a dig at the Ed’s at all but this site has become considerably less enjoyable as of late.

For the life of me I can’t understand how people aren’t incredibly bored of having the same bloody arguments over and over again.

It used to be a site for rumours and the appreciation of said rumours and now it’s just toxic negativity on every post. The same suspects with the negative it multiple times a day. What do they actually get out of that?

Going to take a break for a while. Big thanks to all the Ed’s who do an incredible and thankless task.

Hard to disagree sadly. Maybe they can have their own dedicated tab and are allowed one post a day in the general population so to speak?

Agreed I’m all for different opinions but it’s getting tedious on here it’s the same questions and arguments all the time.

It's an internet forum. Sadly, negativity tends to rule most internet forums.

You think this place is bad, you should see some of the pro wrestling forums, those nerds are savage!

Totally agree Saul. same argument regurgitated again and again. Very tedious.

Childish argument if I’m honest. Things are not going well, you are therefore going to get more negative posts. It’s a football forum, for the life of me I don’t understand why some take it so seriously. Suck it up and move on, or at the very least go for a walk ?.

The trouble is, Irish, there was a lot of negativity this time last year. The year we nearly did the quadruple. Some fans don't like to be reminded about that because it's easier to be negative. That way they are less disappointed when we do fail and they need to know where they stand.
I don't really think it's a football issue.

There has definitely been an upturn in the number of trolls. Heated debate is fine but when people wade in with petty comments or deliberately obtuse replies it is frustrating. You can spot a troll a mile off as they generally never post an original thought and only post replies with a sole aim to tear down others. I tend to just ignore it 90% of the time but if they catch me on a bad day I'll give as good as i get! My advice is if you do need a break from it, don't announce it. Makes you the trolls primary target when you return. They're ultimately cyber bullies so they live for knowing they've upset someone who won't retaliate. So either don't give them the satisfaction of telling them it worked, or bully them back and they'll leave you alone ?.

That’s just the way some people are Rigsby but it’s no different than some posters thinking that every young player at LFC is going to be a world beater season after season and they’re all going to “ make it”
Just don’t take it so seriously ?‍♂️.

Why announce your taking a break for a while?

I agree trolls are a plague upon the world but also the world itself had been through an awful trauma the last few years. No matter what- we are all changed since C.V. locked us all up with our thoughts. There’s just less consideration in general. Where people can be courteous they choose rudeness. People don’t debate anymore. You agree or you are my enemy. This site is doing better than almost every forum on the inter web. But there’s only so long the Ed’s can keep the wolves from the gate. This is only my opinion. I don’t mind being corrected if I am wrong. ?.

I think the Eds filtered a lot of the posts. The trolls we see are just the top of the iceberg. Naturally, abusive posts don't see the light of day but just looking through the club's social media account, I can imagine what the Eds must be facing each and every day.

The Ed's are doing a phenomenal job and Heaven bless them. If people think there's too much negativity on here now then, I shudder to think about all the absolute rubbish they do not post and actually delete.

People are frustrated and want to lash out and I get all that BUT the constant personal attacks on players esp. young players and calling them all types of disgusting names, is just out of order and is a form of bullying, IMO. That needs to stop cos it only turns others off and give you a bad name. If you don't want to be called a spoilt, petulant brat then, DON'T ACT LIKE ONE.

That is what I cannot and will never be able to stand. Make your case with measured arguments and then, we can debate the issues honestly where we all benefit BUT it seems that many would like to use useless hyperbole, emotional rants, OTT insults and incendiary comments just to prove how much they care (as if that was ever a measuring stick) hence, it becomes a peeing contest of who can say the most disgusting things to show much much they support the club or how much passion they have for the club. Can't be arse, really.
