On a side note to my last post. Although this season is not going as planned, given what klopp has done and brought to this club, I still have faith. I'll happily have a poor season this year, as we did a couple of seasons ago, to experience again what we have been next year. We've been lucky to have had so many highs recently that I'll take a low this year. You can't have good times without bad times, otherwise you just have times.

If we don’t make the top 4 there is no easy way back. The players Klopp wants won’t come. I think he will walk anyway if he doesn’t make top 4.

{Ed002's Note - Which players are these that Klopp wants?}

I assume even Klopp must have now realised the midfield is shot to bits and we need a minimum of 2 additions in that area. I have heard him speak very highly of JB and would have thought he is near the top of the list.

We need a minimum of 2 midfield additions but would blow our budget on one?
Hardly good business sense that.
And FSG are business first, football second.
Don't hold your breath on Bellingham rocking up at Anfield anytime soon, unless he's CL opposition.

I still can’t believe people genuinely think we’ll sign Bellingham or that we were even in the conversation. If he was as keen to join as some will have you believe then he would have pushed for it this summer. He didn’t as he is waiting for the World Cup and keeping his options open. I would wager heavily that he only wants Madrid or City. We’re not in his thoughts. We need at least two midfielders next summer not one and the idea of chucking the lot in on Bellingham never made logical sense in that context.

You know Bellingham's future thoughts, 6Times?

If we don’t make the top 4 there is no easy way back. The fans Klopp wants to support the team won’t come. I think us fans will walk anyway if he doesn’t make top 4.

There Mark, fixed it for you.

Rumours are that Mbappe is not happy with PSG and wants out. He wants Madrid which means they could go all out for him in the summer, meaning they won't be able to go for Bellingham.

Mark mate, why would Klopp walk? And if he assumed we needed midfielders, why make a u turn on his statement and sign Arthur on loan?

We were comfortably in the top four last season and a lot of 'fans' still weren't happy.

People think that if Klopp walks, we buy two midfielders, play three at the back etc etc that things will improve and we win the League.
It doesn't work like that.

{Ed025's Note - not unless you get big frank rigsby.. :)

You could have just stopped at "Klopp walks". Just because a chunk of the fanbase are "sing when you're winning but throw the towel in as soon as the going gets tough" it doesn't mean that Klopp is made of the same brown stuff.
I doubt walking away has even been a subconscious thought with Klopp, or the players either for that matter.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. And it's certainly tough going right now.

Rigsby, English footballers (in general) are not the most complex of thinkers, so it’s fair to make the reasonable assumption that Bellingham won’t be interested in joining a team in decline when he can either go to a City side who can pay him vastly more than we can, who can virtually guarantee him winning the league every season and where he is joining an already strong side or he can join an equally successful and strong Madrid side, where he’s almost guaranteed winning the league and champions league every year whilst forming the most formidable young midfield alongside Camavinga and Tchouameni. Given those two options, I sincerely doubt he’d give second thought to playing in our broken midfield and a team who at this moment look very unlikely to qualify for the champions league.

We have seen this before with Timo Werner. He too wanted us, his head was turned while we simply couldn’t agree a fee with BVB. Bellingham might want to come to us but we wouldn’t agree the whole package including tons of agent fees and what not involved.
The club made a meal last summer waiting for the “Right midfielder” and then went on to sign an injury plugged not wanted midfielder from Juventus who was available for a sale from June in any case.
This is firmly on the club and the board.

It seems the "Klopp could walk" brigade would actually like for this to happen but are scared shirtless to actually say it with their chest. After all if you don't think he could/ would walk, why bring it up?

You make too many assumptions, 6Times; most of them based on your emotions.
Give it up, mate.

If Klopp is unable to solve it doesn’t that say there’s a bigger problem than just the midfield. Football
Is surely about results?
