It’s coming from Ed01 @Irish. And you know what happens when he likes someone, the whole page like him ???. Linders is worse than Steve Bruce to me.

For a good 10 years LFC was known as Steven Gerrard FC. When Gerrard did play with actual footballers (Alonso, Torres, Mascherano) He was simply unstoppable. The best midfielder in Europe by a country mile.
There would be many Salah’s along the way. But only one Steven Gerrard.

You got it wrong Rigsby, I was referring to the point that Zidane and Modric would work cool alongside a proper DM.
You do have some points there Oli. Thiago did play further up the field for Bayern when Xabi was truly pulling the strings form the deeper role. In that set up Alonso is your DLP and while Thiago is a class act his job was entirely different.
Thiago could also work extremely well alongside a proper DM. Like he was with Kimmich / Fabinho.
Thiago is a lot more than just a DLP ( apparently Jorginho is one) .

So everyone would want the Bobby role there @Irish, when Bobby himself doesn’t have a space and is some 5th choice attacker ???. I am sure someone have mentioned Fabio Carvalho would also like that “Bobby” role.
