I wanted to get the mancs out the way early and was made up when the fixtures came out. For the past week I've had a sneaky feeling they get something out of tonight's game but today I feel we will nick it. Can't see it being a cricket score like some pundits are saying I'd take a 1 nil win ( prefer the clean sheet) just hope we move the ball around quickly. Match day can't wait YNWA.

As long as we play the game and not the occasion, we stand a good chance of beating them comfortably. We have done that in our last two trips to OT.

I haven’t seen anything to suggest that United can press or survive being pressed. In fact, I haven’t seen anything to suggest they have any interest in carrying out the managers instructions at all. We’ve seen poor United teams motivate themselves for this fixture, but this side are a million miles away from even those teams. There’s too much infighting, too many poor attitudes and a crippling lack of confidence in their own ability, which while justified does not help the likes of Maguire and De Gea against a team like Liverpool. With the protest planned and the mood around the club getting worse by the day, I just don’t see how they can get anything from this game. Our plan should be to go as hard as we possibly can for the first 20 minutes, get a goal, and watch them implode.

If we can’t win this one comfortably, I’ll be seriously concerned about the trajectory of our season.

Only away fans going so there shouldn't be much of an atmosphere #emptyoldtrafford.

I hope I’m wrong but with the injuries we have and the fact that teams are now flooding the midfield to stop us from playing our football and getting the ball to our forwards, I reckon man Ure will do the same. They can’t outplay so they’ll have 1 man upfront and essentially 5 midfield playing in their own half and then try to spring a counter on the break.

KloppisTop, an early goal for us is vital to stopping them doing that. I hope that ten Hag is too invested in his methods and style of play to resort to ten men behind the ball and hoofing it on the counter.

Of course, I also hope that their meat head supporters do what they did last time so we’re given a 3-0 walkover and they get a stadium ban.

No Maguire apparently. That makes them better straight away.

Maguire is just a scapegoat. We must beat this set of donkeys.

What are peoples thoughts about playing Mo through the middle today and Harvey up top on the right?

Sky Sports, Confirm above posts Maguire and Ronaldo bench, Martial plays.

I would go with Rushscoredfour, Elliot, Mo, and Diaz. Midfield three Milly, Fab, Hendo.

But Jurgens love affair with Firmino could mean Mo, Firmino, Diaz, Midfield Hendo, Fab, Elliot.

First goal will be massive tonight, they score first will lift the roof off, we score it goes like a graveyard.

The bad habit of conceding first in the last 6 Premier League games has to stop as soon as possible, and clean sheets appearing instead, it's a lot easier to win if the other team does not score. This is a must not get beat game, lose and it will feel like the end of the world.

Results wise, We’ve been just as bad if not worse. Brighton are miles better than Fulham.
And I’d say Palace at Home is easier than Brentford away. Historically form usually goes out the window for this one so hopefully we get the 3 points.

United just wanting a rich oil baron to match city's funds and instant success. had loads of money to build a solid squad and blown it on rubbish players. Not a single player would I take from them. can't tell me they haven't had money. Now if the argument is the money they generate isn't being put back into the team then couldn't we argue the same?

I for one am worried tonight. Don't like our midfield selection with both Hendo and Millie - no pace there.

I think we have some very deluded fans…. everyone saying that we would batter Man Utd and yet they are showing us up! We need a new midfielder or two because we aren’t going to win anything with the current midfield situation but if we can’t buy one, then I don’t even think top four is possible.

What makes you think an extra midfielder or two will stop the likes of van Dijk, Robbo and Trent p. ing about for the first 60 minutes of every single match? Will it stop the relentless hit and hope balls that never work that we seem to play all the time now? Will it clear the injury list and the pre season that seems to be mismanaged?

I’m absolutely livid but i’m not sure that buying another midfielder will fix the problems. Regardless of the result tonight, I feel we have become complacent. I don’t see the same concentration and hunger for 90 minutes as I did 3 years ago.

We can come back and win this game, but that won’t change the fact that we strolled up to Old Trafford and didn’t attack it with 100% focus and intensity. That is inexcusable.

1 midfielder solves nothing. Based on this performance we're at least 3/ 4 1st team ready players short. Getting out fought and out thought all over the pitch.

I’m not talking about this game, I’m talking about going forwards. I didn’t say that our defence was totally faultless butplaying a kid and 2 old age pensioners in midfield makes the job harder. Most games are win in midfield and I already said way before the game started that they would play 5 in midfield and 1 upfront and get us on the counter, and guess what I was right. Just like our previous two games, we were outplayed in midfield because they all played 5 in midfield with one man upfront…. teams have sussed us out and klopp’s inability to see that and stick to the same tactics week in week out isn’t helping. We haven’t got the midfield to be able to break down teams set up that way. Our attack isn’t looking that great either with the injuries we have. Firmino has offered nothing upfront. Salah has a had a very quiet game. If we lose to this Man Utd team, then we as fans should be worried for the rest of the season if we don’t bring some quality in!

Lol a lot of these posts aged poorly!

Yes we have injuries, and yes mistakes were made today, but for me, there seems to be something wrong with he core team: no desire, commitment, or concentration from anyone. There wasn't a single player on the pitch who wasn't to blame and that is a continuation from the first two games. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it seems our team desire and chemistry has completely gone.
