Think Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp will be making the biggest mistake ever if they do not get any signings done in this window. The team played superbly last season, but will not be able to replicate that form this season. also, everyone else is strengthening. Witnessing us not being able to break down Arsenal even with a second rate team they played on Sunday was hard to watch. I also think Chelsea, Utd and City will be significantly stronger this year. What frustrates me is that we clearly have ongoing discussions, but for some reason the big wigs at Liverpool feel like the team spirit will carry us forward. I do not believe that in the slightest, in football Quality always prevails. and it is evident that we have a lack of it on the subs bench. A significant lack of creativity in the midfield and Joe Gomez/ Matip are good back ups to have but would not be first choice in any other top 6/ 7 side apart from maybe arsenal and spurs. We need to fix up and act rapidly. We cannot go another summer window without any transfers. We will struggle massively and the first few games against Leeds, Arsenal and Chelsea will shape our season.

You are forgetting, this team won the champions league, then stayed together and won the league. As things stand they are staying together again, so here we go again. i personally would like the league, champions league and FA Cup next year.

Why is everyone panicking, all of the other top 6 need to rebuild to catch us and its a gamble adding in all of these players at once. A couple of tweaks here and there is all we need.

Everyone said last season 'if we don't sign a left back for cover we are in trouble' now we have, and we sold lovren so we are already stronger by adding a very good player and getting rid of a weak link.

We also have minamino who is looking better and better each game so we are in a very good position.

The thiago situation is going to drag out because of the illegal approach, then the financial difficulty we have found from this situation so as Ed002 keeps saying we need to sell to buy. Its a pretty simple thing, then we also have the home grown quota issue to deal with.

Just relax, enjoy the fact we are league champions and let the business brains at the club worry about everything else.

Always amuses me to see the excuses people invent because they are desperate to play Transfer Top Trumps.

"We will struggle massively" - yeah, right.

we've signed Tsimikas and that german kid. that is two signings this window already, which includes addressing an area of need in the squad to be filled.

We won the league that was last season, don't you see our rivals are improving thier squad?

{Ed002's Note - You have been told the reason why but are not bright enough to grasp the situation.}

I made a similar point a few weeks back.
Chelsea have made some fearsome additions, bringing their spending to 200 million. Their new players will take time to 'bed in' but I doubt it will take long.

Today's triumph is tomorrow's history. All this happens very quickly in a sport dominated by money.

I would have liked to see Timo Werner arrive at Liverpool. Now he will come in a blue shirt.
Red_Jacko8's comment about not being able to breakdown Arsenal is a good one but very significant. I don't believe we will struggle massively but things will be rather more difficult this year.

We have no money. Klopp and lfc can’t buy without money why is this so hard to understand!

We have bought a left back and we are now starting to see the emergence and skills of Taki and Naby, Ox if he finds his form from his first season and there is also Curtis Jones who looks like being first team material. Add on Brewster and Williams who are still on their progression to be considered a natural first team player. Also last season Shaq was a passenger due to injuries and no first team member have left so overall you would have to be happy with the squad . yes Timo would have been nice but would that have upset the team dynamic with him sitting on the bench? This football lark ain't so easy as Football Manager.

“I do not believe that in the slightest, in football Quality always prevails. and it is evident that we have a lack of it on the subs bench. ”

If that where even remotely true;

- Istanbul would never have happened (Chelsea where a better team and that AC Milan team where one of the all time greats) .

- PSG would have won the champions league long ago

- teams like Burnley and Sheffield United would have been long gone from the premier league.

Amongst many other examples.

Ox needs a good season as does Keita to prove their worth on a consistent basis. If they can get back to their best and Minimino comes good we should do well again this season.

how many new additions hit the ground running? They all need a season to bed in. This season it will be all teams bar city and liverpool finding a system new players adjusting and new managers trying to stamp their authority.
Like last season it will be between us and mancity.

Next year we need to add as we would have an aging squad.

We swapped Lovren for a left back, FSG won't give us a penny, we haven't been successful enough for them to back us, ha, Werner and Thiago would of been superb additions and took us up a level, gave Firmino some competition that he clearly needs, as he has been rubbish for months, the midfield on Saturday had zero creativity which Thiago would of sorted, we missed Trent massively.

I feel we could do with another senior centre back. The brittleness of Matip often leaves us with little cover, and it is all too easy to forget how fortunate we have been to have big Virgil play every league game these last 2 seasons. Sepp VdB and Billy Koumetio have raw talent but I wouldn't want to push them into the first team just yet if two CBs are injured, and I don't think Fabinho is an ideal solution as 4th choice CB. We may have to go with this though if money doesn't become available through sales.

{Ed002's Note - Or Nt Phillips.}
