Spurs winning could be great for Liverpool. Man City are going to have to compete extra hard in the return leg to get a result and the CL will hopefully be a mental distraction for them. I still expect them to go through to the semis (especially as Harry ‘The Hype’ Kane is out injured) but its going to draw on City’s physical and mental reserves to get there.

well done spurs especially given how they have maintained their levels despite not making massive squad changes.

Sloppy second half, but very happy with 2-0 at home. Anything can happen, but its means we should be in good stead if we snag an away goal.

Glad Spur's won over Man City, didn't catch the game (obviously) but Pep's lineup seemed overly cautious from the start. Can't understand De bruyne not starting or Mahrez starting ahead of Sane.

Great result tonight even tho I wish we scored more. We got the clean sheet so that is as good as scoring 3 goals should we take the lead at the Dragao. As for Spurs, made up for them that they won. City fans are giving Pep loads for his lineup which was frankly, disrespectful to Spurs. Already, City were poor vs Brighton who with better quality, could have caused them more probs. and now this pitiful perf. vs Spurs esp. with that weak pen, by Aguero. Is Pep feeling the pressure of the quadruple as well as his players? Not sure BUT it does seem like their leggy and mentally, this quadruple talk is taking it's toll.

It felt like he was resting players for the Palace game and playing with Gundogan and the dirty Fernandinho, it seems he went for the draw and got the defeat his hapless tactics and choices deserved.

What this simply means is that City will have to go for it in the second leg and then, they play them again in the PL which will be a cliffhanger so hang on lads cos this ain't over. Up Da Pool.

Spurs Winning is not only great because City have to go for the 2nd leg. Spurs now have that belief that they can beat City. Hopefully that will transfer to their league fixture!

I still think it's their ManU game that will decide if they win the title or not. Rashford and Martial, on their day, can cause havoc in that ManC defense.
