Was just watching kuyts hat trick of tap ins against utd and got me thinking about him. I love seeing players who make a great career for themselves by using hard work, dedication and just generally applying the perfect professional attitude to maximise their game to compensate for maybe a lack of technical ability. Any other good examples, I was thinking hendo too just got a great head on his shoulders which has helped him get the best of his ability no doubt. Thomas Muller too I'd include.

Gennaro Gattuso springs to mind. That guy wouldn't give up on anything. I know he's not in the same league as Gattuso, but also Troy Deeney. An amazing hard work ethic.

Just looking at the current squad and you could argue the likes of Milner, Robertson and AOC have that same incredible workrate and sheer determination to achieve and impress. I might sound a little harsh here but would any of these 3 have made it with us without their workrate being well over average?

On another note, I see Kuyt is moving into management. I can see him doing well.

I think ox always had the right attributes for a winger as he started, pace and power but always lacked the clinical end product. He's a hard worker yes which has improved him but I'm kinda thinking of guys who have no obvious technical strengths. Milner yeah. Imagine you could put milners head on balotelli or ravel Morrison's shoulders. It's amazing how different career paths go dependant on the players attitude alone.

{Ed001's Note - Milner has always been excellent technically, that is why his crossing is usually good.}

He'd certainly demand 110% effort from his players anyway. Best of luck to him a proper pro.

That's true ed1 maybe a bit harsh on Millie, he can place a ball no doubt. I remember his early days he used be a proper winger, could beat a man without relying on pace too,

Shame about the result today, We could have played a lot better
Looks likes since JAN we have come unstuck seem to have forgotten how to play football

Salah last few games alway has back towards the players, and has no where to go.

Ill be glad if we can get replace Hendo and Milner next year good players but we need a chance and those positions are next.

Maybe if we have OX playing like he did last year and Gomez in CB it would have been a different game.

rborhara, Hendo gave an outstanding ‘man of the match’ performance against Bayern Munich on Tuesday and you want the club captain replacing? Jeez!
