We are played 4 win 4. We are top of the league. We have not played anywhere near as we have in previous years OFFENSIVELY. Defensively is a massive improvement and we are much more solid. What we have got to remember is that years gone by we have battered teams 25-30 shots on target, leading 1-0 and then conceded to draw when opposition had 2 shots on target. The league is not won but we haven't really got going yet so the future is not just bright is beaming folks! . We have our strongest squad for years and one of the best man managers in world football. We have a keeper who is superb and will save us at times as the season goes on. Enjoy what we have fellow reds because I have followed the club since the early 70's and I'm extremely optimistic. And the Brucie bonus is that Jose is unhappy. It doesn't get any better!

Great post Barr. September is going to be a massive month for us as well. I can’t wait for this international window to finish and then get back to the proper business of some top quality matches.

Yes, but can we still have those games where we demolish and pulverize the other team, maybe once in a while? Like, once a month or something? I can't stop smiling for at least a couple of days after those 5-0's or 6-0's. 😉.

Definitely any other season we would of panicked and drew or even lost after Allison's mistake . But in fact we made it a boring last 15 minutes to see it out.

Have to say as well Gomez has been excellent at centre back (yesterday was his best game in that position) . We always knew he would move there but he’s got his chance earlier than we thought and he’s took it so well.

Agree with Barr also.
The Brucie Bonus is not Mourinho however (personally I think the League is stronger when his team is doing well) but Alisson.
Ok the error, he knows it, we all do, he was trying to be too clever.
But you want your keeper to be confident in his mendset to even contemplate that, and Alisson has that. It’s absolutely invaluable.
That apart, I thought he was excellent again - positioning superb, distribution, pulled off a really good save from Gray in the first half at 1-0.
We’ve got a real keeper at last, the guy is fantastic.
Allied to a young defence, and the potential there to develop is so encouraging.
People forget that when Leicester pulled off that upset, they closed a lot of games out, 1-0 and the like.
Just need to get the midfield and front three going now 😁.

Things are looking a lot better will take a bit of time to settle into the best first team formation. We looked ropey yesterday in the 2nd half you could sense Leicester putting more pressure on us. definitely work in progress hopefully
Will be better against spurs
Nice to see back on here Salah you are a great objective poster.

Thank you Barr, I'm getting there mate, I think I've overdone it though the past few days because we've been so busy on days out and today is a bit of a struggle lol but overall I'm fine mate :) .

Years gone by? Lol we smashed teams last year! Didn’t we?

Perception, we smashed teams and won what? Went to spurs and got demolished in the first half by incredibly bad defending. It is only since VVD has come into the back line and the progression of Robertson and and TAA from the middle of the season onwards that we have looked solid at the back. We “smashed” teams and finished 4th. I would rather “smash” teams and win a trophy or two. So my comments were aimed at the overall progression of the team over the last few seasons, which speaks for itself.

We smashed teams last year, we'll smash teams this year. We also didn't smash teams last year (quite a lot) and won't smash teams this year (quite a lot) . Not every result is to be expected that we will simply brush teams aside. We have improved, yes, but so have a lot of other teams. Leicester also spent 100million plus in the summer and looked good off of it. We all want to win by 3 or 4 every week, but it simply won't happen. Sometimes a bit of pragmatism is good.
