Thanks Ed,

Do Sporting have a leg to stand on? I do think they should be due some compensation but those prices are ridiculous.

{Ed001's Note - they can certainly make a claim for some compensation.}

any specific reason why Nasri's ban was extended ed?

{Ed001's Note - I couldn't find a specific confirmed reason, it seemed UEFA appealed the original ban though.}

Thanks ed nice one. Didn’t realise Nasri had a doping ban? Never liked him as a player, dirty bxstard on the pitch always moaning. Guess he’s got more to moan about now. Leave those drugs alone you Nasri bxstaedo.

{Ed001's Note - did you not hear about it? You should google what happened, the daft knob was in the adverts for the company and all over twatter having the doping done as the nurse posted up pics of it! Dozy pillock then had to apply for a TUE afterwards.}

i remember the fiasco, but can't remember what substance was used.

extending it is good, tough action should be taken on doping or any similar actions.

i wish all the governing bodies are actually stern on this though, if the photos never came out they probably wouldn't even bother.

{Ed001's Note - for starters it would be better if they just removed the TUEs, there should be no exceptions.}

Kaizer- the fifa ethics committee appealed the original 6 month ban as they felt it was to short and would not act as a deterrent for players in the future.

Thereputic use exemption for those like me who don't know what a TUE is. In my day it was a quick way to write Tuesday. Thank god for Google or I would be completely lost.

{Ed001's Note - sorry I should have thought to explain it! Basically it is saying the player needs some kind of treatment which requires an otherwise banned substance. Personally I would say they have to sit out if they can't take part without banned substances, otherwise is there any point banning them at all?}

Thanks ed001 it seems an odd treatment saline rehydration with nutrients and even more odd you are allowed 50ml every 6 hours. Surely these guys drink enough water to replace what they lose without it. From the story I read he had 500 ml in one treatment. His girlfriend at the time was a doctor and prescribed it as he was feeling ill. BS if you ask me.

{Ed001's Note - it certainly smells a bit funny.}
