Ah we’re grand buddy. If the right player becomes available then certainly we should take a look, but barring a spate of injuries, we have more depth than previous years. We’re not going to win the league this season but I would find it very unlikely we don’t get top 4 so why overspend right now. Let’s see if Karius can stamp his place in the squad and who knows if we don’t get one or two of the kids getting a chance. I know it’s exciting at the prospect of a new star but remember we have a better point average with Coutinho out of the squad (talented as he was), so our current group of players can get the job done.

Karius, Mignolet, Grabara, Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Klavan, Lovren, Matip, Robertson, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Chamberlain, Ejaria, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Solanke, Ings, Woodburn

24 players there assuming Ward, Bogdan, Clyne, Flanagan, Markovic and Sturridge all never kick a ball for us again, as i expect will be the case.

I'm not even fussed if Mignolet and Ings go this window either. My only real concern is that Can leaves in this window and we can't get a replacement in for him. If Can did leave early though, we'd receive a fee we otherwise wouldn't have received, and then i think the club will bite the bullet and throw whatever it takes at RBL to get Keita here this month.

We have 24 players who are all expected to be involved in some capacity over the next 4months. People are talking like we've been struggling to fill the subs bench!

Besides, we may still sign someone in the next 2 weeks. I still think we'll sign one more player late in the window. Liverpool still seem active to me. Woodburn staying suggests that no more forwards are due, but a midfielder is still on the cards in my opinion.

Personally I think a to class keeper is more of a priority than a Coutinho replacement. We should move heaven and earth to make that happen, but that should be our only other business this month.

Buddy. it's because we have the best squad we've had in years. Karius and Mignolet are not top class but are not as bad as people make out or rather others are not as good as people think. We have more than enough defenders, and midfielders, strikers wise we may look short esp if firmino gets injured but even if he does salah can be added to those in reserve to lead the line. The versatility of him, mane, lallana, Ox and even gini (was a wide player) gives klopp plenty to work with.

If we can bring in a top defensive/ holding midfielder this month I'd be satisfied. If not hopefully Hendo can stay fit until the end of the season. Regarding goalkeepers, yes we know Migs isn't the greatest but he's been our regular for the past 4-5 years and should be granted to see the season out as our number 1 gk.

You expect Grabara and Ejaria to play in the next 4 months? You really do smoke some of the good stuff MK

Either way I don’t think people are worried necessarily about quantity but more about the quality. Yes we have options in the likes of Ejaria Milner Ings etc, but is that good enough? In my personal opinion, I don’t think is is but I think we have enough quality to see out top 3/ 4 with what we have this season. But in the summer, if we have aspirations of the title we certainly need more. If we happen to find a player that’s available and suits us now then great otherwise I think waiting for the summer is the right option.

Reyrey, Ejaria and Grabara both train full time with the first team now. So in the event of an injury crisis where we have to turn to our 3rd choice keeper or 7th choice midfielder, they could feature i suppose, but where did i say they would play? I said they will be involved in some capacity, with the first team squad. Ejaria already has been a squad player for the last 18 months in case you've been under a rock, and Grabara will likely replace Ward as the 3rd choice keeper when he leaves.

I would not surprised if either player made the bench for an FA cup game. Ejaria has already made his first team debut, and Grabara has been fast tracked through to train with the first team squad because he stuck out like a sore thumb at u23's as simply being too good for that level.

I agree we need to replace Milner, Mignolet and probably Matip as well. We're not going to do all that in January though, and it is hardly urgent. Last time i checked we're 3rd in the league and won our CL group without losing a game. You are a drama queen, moaning because our 23rd and 24th choice squad players, are academy graduates. That is laughable mate. You are acting like a spoilt child.

Also you pinpointed a section of my response. Milner and ings are not 23/ 24th members here, they’re players that are fully part of the first team. Just because I’m not stupidly biased like you, that doesn’t correlate to me being a spoilt child. Just a realistic view

Reyrey1, ignore MK, he's an incredibly biased fan and if you don't agree with him, apparently you're a drama queen. Nothing wrong with your post fella, if we want the title then we need improvements on some of our players. Which is likely to happen in the summer and doesn't need to be rushed (as you said) . Dw if any sensitive children misinterpret that.

Our first eleven is quality MK. But if you want to back them up with Milner, Sturridge, Ings an Solanke then I am sorry that’s not good enough to me. Take out Firmino for a game and play Sturridge and you ll see the difference people are making out here. We took out Can for Milner and everyone saw what happened. We have depth in numbers but not in quality.

I'm constantly baked, but that doesn't mean i can't see what Adam's saying. The fact is that if you have 10 first choice players in the team and either Milner or Ejaria in the team as the 11th man, It's not going to make much difference. In fact, long term it makes more sense to give Ejaria the game time, as Milners time with Liverpool is likely coming to an end, and he's not going to improve by playing a few games here or there, whereas Ejaria might.

People need to stop dreaming on here and wake up. The reality is that no club will sell you their top GK in Jan or even in the summer all things being equal. Also, we will not be doing a makeover of the squad in Jan either as like MK said, it makes no sense. Can won't leave in Jan as well and if we have to sell anyone, it should be those who we are sure have nothing else to offer the team like Studge or Marko for example.

Also, no one stockpiles players cos they are afraid a key player will get injured. That makes no sense. This is why depth is necessary and we have it in near every position. If we buy no one, it is cos there was no one TO buy as that is how Klopp operates. You may disagree with that BUT it is the truth, end of story. Let Klopp do his job and if we sign no one, get behind the team and no need to panic.

I see what you’re saying Rugby, but my point is being misunderstood. Do you believe a midfield of Henderson wij lallana Milner keita is sufficient enough to win the title? If you do then fair enough. Personally, I don’t. Aside from keita, the rest are not consistent enough imo (or in milners case good enough) . I don’t think it contains enough creativity either. We may have 8/ 9 different options to play there but does that mean they’re good enough?

So therefore I do feel we need additions if we want to seriously challenge for the title. That’s not a criticism but an honest evaluation of where our team can improve (aside from the obv GK position) .
