Where is the real Klopp? He has been very subdued the last few weeks. The fist clenching, heart thumping one has been missing the last few weeks.

1.) 22 Jan 2017
21 Jan 2017 23:48:02
Yes he's now realising what a shower the owners are and the fact he keeps missing out on all his targets through penny pinching. I knew our season would fall apart Jan/ Feb. Its the title or nothing for me. I pray we don't get top 4 just to put a dent in the owners 'most profitable club in Europes' wallet.

They make me sick. Klopp gets lumbered with step toes horse (Emre Can) in midfield, the lad will never make the grade in a million years with a running style like that, while we have to endure seeing Delli Ali push Spurs on after being driven to Anfield to sign but turned away by Ted Rodgers, the committee and the owners because they wouldn't pay a few quid more. We need a decent attacking mid, winger and centre half so what's going on?

2.) 22 Jan 2017
21 Jan 2017 23:49:25
As a mate of mine said earlier - Emre Cans like someone under your feet in the kitchen. He's just in the way.

Welcome back Ozone.

{Ed025's Note - have you missed his moaning suku?..

4.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 06:04:21
Was it Klopp himself who told or indicated to you that he's "realized what a shower the owners are"?
Who did Klopp miss out on? You able to provide any factual backing here?

Since Klopp "missed out on all his targets", who's signings were Mane, Klavan and Wijnaldum? How much was paid for those players?

You then say "I knew our season would fall apart Jan/ Feb. Its the title or nothing for me. "
Can you explain this statement? You knew our season would fall apart mid season and yet still are expecting a title? How does that work pal?

Your ill-wishing the team shows you up for what you are: an embittered, entitled, clueless media-misled sheep and embarrassing, miserable excuse for a supporter peddling lies and untruths.

YOU and YOUR ilk make me sick.
You embody and epitomise the embarrassment of the fan ed002 would refer to.

Your claim about the Delli Alli, again evidence do you have that the move, if ever it was on in the first place, broke down owing to the owners "because they wouldn't pay a few quid more"?

Was there an offer made for Alli? If so how much? And what was the "few quid more" that the owners "wouldn't pay"?
Any sort of factual basis on this would be appreciated.

I'd be interested as to what your understanding of the roles of the owners, "transfer committee" and manager are.

It is very important that we don't speak authoritatively on matters on which we don't have an iota of clue/ facts.
Instead going on whatever the media says.

People like Ozone are dangerous. For the reason that their views, (from which their bitterness, bile and hatred stems), are wholly founded on media speculation, which in itself is often baseless.

Your Ozones then peddle this to the next sheep and soon you have multitudes of them. You see them all around in social media.

This Ozone has had his mouth clipped all season. Now that the team seems to have hit a bad patch, he rears his embittered head.
His fire has been lit. He's a now a happy bunny. after having been denied that by the excellent start and performances.

The team will pick up again. And, true to his nature, the Ozone will be forced to crawl back into his hole. And the world will be a better place again.

{Ed025's Note - a bit scathing there suku..but for me a great post which could be aimed at a host of clubs...kudos my friend..

22 Jan 2017 08:57:22
Your right Suku I have reared my embittered head as I pay my dough through the turnstiles week in week out home and away. Surprisingly I saw a chance of the title before Xmas but started to realise the heavy reliance in Manes pace.

I also realised that the pressing game was unsustainable for a full season with a threadbare squad. I also realised that the starting 11 against Chelsea on that Friday night game was the best 11 for the system Klopp likes to play.

I also realised that take a cog out of that starting 11 and the systems compromised and our back up to include Emre Can in midfield doesn't work. I've also now realised that top 4's all the owners want as they're happy with the Arsenal model. Key players to Klopps optimal system include Matip, wyjnandum, mane, hendo and coutinhio for various reasons. Have we got like for like similar in the squad? No and there's no signs the owners intend.

For the record pulsic, Brandt and draxier were all missed targets due to penny pinching. No Suku, your the clueless media led lemming lad. And no I no longer have aspirations of the league, that ships sailed, the seasons falling apart as I said for various reasons but fundamentally due to the lack of investment in the squad.

6.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 09:26:22
Any fool can see the investment in the squad has been proportionate with our means. I regard the fact that we have a title-competitive 1st 11 as good progress. Next step to build depth and improve key positions. We have definitely missed Coutinho Matip and Mane.

Of the few positives from yesterday, Bobby scored again and Coutinho got valuable game time. We need a reaction from this, as Klopp said. YNWA

7.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 09:44:13
Suku - you tell me what you think Wyjnandum does. You tell me about his function in the midfield and then provide an overview of our midfield.

8.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 09:45:25
"Have we got like for like similar in the squad? "

How many transfer windows has Klopp had? Was he supposed to buy 10 new players in one go? Don't you realise that you can't keep adding players on without shedding some? The intention is to trim and streamline the squad, not further bloat it.

"No and there's no signs the owners intend"

What do you want the owners to do here? Should the owners be throwing money haphazardly at Klopp, gun-marching him into buying 10 new players in one window?

"For the record pulsic, Brandt and draxier were all missed targets due to penny pinching"

I ask again that you furnish us with proof of the above. You got knowledge of Klopp's declared desire to buy any of those players, and importantly of LFC's unacceptable bids and owners' refusal to pay "a few quid more"? What was the amount penny-pinched? Do you have reliable info or you just peddling Daily Mail, Sky and other such media horse crap? And using it as stick to beat the club?

"I also realised that the pressing game was unsustainable for a full season with a threadbare squad"

Is it the owners' fault that the team, in spite of having (in your words) a "threadbare" squad, continues to play an "unsustainable" pressing game?
Again, did you expect Klopp to buy 10 players in window? Interesting that none of comments touch on Klopp and where he himself is to be faulted. The owners are an easy target, huh?

"I pay my dough through the turnstiles week in week out home and away"

Then don't pay mate. You and your ilk are the kind of customers that any business would be happy to show the middle finger. "I pay my hard earned dough". That give a licence to act all prickly? Thanks, buy keep your cash in your pockets

9.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 09:00:49
Except I pray not to get top 4, I agree with Ozone. But mate most of the players were Klopp's first choice. He wanted both Klavan and Wijnaldum and the club got him.

10.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 10:01:21
Your right on one thing there Suku - the owners would happily show one finger to the likes of me in order to push through more corporate fans, sell on bigger proportions of the ticket allocation to Thomas Cook in order to rejoice in a mass of day trippers with half and half in the club shop and the sort of atmosphere we had yesterday. Footballs gone, especially with the modern fan type like yourself and your ilk.

11.) 22 Jan 2017

Ed025

Hey mate. Howzit!

No, I most certainly did NOT miss his whining. Quite the opposite.
We often talk about players, manangers/ coaches/ federations etc who have ruined the game.
Yet astoundingly, we give a free pass to the so called fans who too sink the the beautiful game to the gutter.

They the fickle type, bitching ad infinitum and rarely, if ever, have anything positive to say about the team.
As it doesn't play into their narrative, they'll overlook, downplay and dismiss any good being done and latch onto the first mishap.

It cuts across the whole football spectrum. Just yesterday we seen the whole lot of them popping out, relieved and downright thrilled about the team's admittedly appalling performance and poor result. cos it's the wind that fans their flames.

It's so sad and quite frankly disgusti g. But then again, it's what football has come to.

Even with your lot ed025, I seen some already calling for Koeman's not long ago. and the reasons put in up in support nothing short of ludicrous.

Unbelievable

{Ed025's Note - i could not agree more suku, fans today are so fickle and like one of our lads put it "microwave supporters" looking for instant success, the reds have had a great season up to now and playing good football under one of the brightest managers in the game then a defeat leads to cries of... were crap...time for klopp to go and half the players are to up to it now apparently..unbelievable is the word mate..

12.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 10:49:37
Suku for president! 👍

13.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 10:50:12
Yes what I'm saying sweet chin is that as owners (well if they were owners who were interested in football) they would've seen how Klopp likes to play, this was evident early in the season and I felt this hit its nadir against chavs, we were outstanding.

However, it was clear that the system was finely tuned and reliant on a specific type of player doing a specific role, wyjnandum being key in the midfield as he links up play between defence and mid, mid and attack, he effectively makes himself the 12th man. This doesn't work when Emre Can sits in mid, the whole system collapses.

Bournemouth away exposed the threadbare squad, at 1-3 you could see Klopp wanted to shut up shop but looked at bench full of kids and had no faith in the job needed, the rest is history. Knowing manes off to ACON and that clearly midfield folds when Cans in the mix, why haven't owners backed Klopp in Jan considering we were on for the title early in the new year? It's criminal.

14.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 10:54:40
Am I saying Klopp to go? What are you talking about? Far from it, I'm saying he's not being backed. He's proven in his short tenure he has the Miras touch, with a fantastic goal scoring brand of football, so FSG - back the man and bring us success.

They won't however as they're happy with the German wenger. Jurgens body language yesterday suggests he's frustrated. Is he the next resale little gem? Off to Bayern at some point maybe.

15.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 11:06:09
"Microwave Supporters". Class! I'm stealing that one. I just think of them as emotional children.
I run my own business. There are lots of ups and downs and it's jolly hard work. If I sacked my staff after a single poor result my recruitment costs would be huge. It takes time, effort and patience to build a winning team.

Fact is as a rounded squad we are behind Chelsea, Spurs, City and Arsenal. We have done so very well thus far. The team and management should learn from the past few difficult games an go again. Bring on Southampton!

16.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 11:22:19
Sweet chin - my post about wyjnandum asking Suku to define what he does may read negative. It wasn't intended to be negative but to the contrary. I just wanted to know how Suku sees him and his role in the midfield.

I think he's a breath of fresh air and out kante'd kante'd against chavs but he can be non effective when it's pecestrian and he has nothing to link up when the pace and press is taken out of our game with square pegs and round holes.

17.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 11:55:57
Ozone. if your so unhappy and things are so bad then stop going to the games and spending your money as nobody is forcing you to go. Sounds like you hate everything and everyone connected with LFC. Yesterday wasn't good enough, your right, but the bile you spout is totally unnecessary!

18.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 12:00:20
Ozone. Have we not been here before? When you knew that we wouldn't finish in the top 4 under Rodgers, nearly around the same time of year? let's just see how it pans out will we?

19.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 13:00:14
I can't believe we have supporters who don't want us to finish as high up the league as possible. It doesn't make any sense to me.

{Ed025's Note - nor me ron..

20.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 13:07:17
Isn't this all a bit ridiculous? We are going through a bit of a dip in form, caused by injuries to a whole bunch of key players. But, we've still played some of the best attacking football I've ever seen this season, we have one of the greatest managers in the world and a squad filled with players who are going to improve under his care.
Don't get me wrong our squad has weaknesses, as does klopp, but this is the best place we've been in since 2009/ 2010 so I sure am sure as hell not in the mood to complain

21.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 12:07:13
Ed002. If you be so kind. Did Liverpool miss out on Brandt and Draxlar due to penny pinching? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Winger Julian Brandt was considered by Liverpool as a very high-profile youngster when he was 17. There has been no interest in him since although there is interest from a couple of other English sides. Liverpool showed no interest in Draxler.}

22.) 22 Jan 2017

Thanks Ed002. I had a fair idea it was nonsense but always great to get it from the horse's mouth.

It's painful it really is.

25.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 17:18:53
Ron Keague - would you be happy with emulating Arsenal over the past 20 years?

26.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 20:37:03
Arsenal have won quite a bit in the last 20 years, more titles than us.
So the answer would be "probably".
Wouldn't want to miss out on number 5 though 😎

27.) 22 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 19:25:04
Ozone

The owners have backed the managers at will. From Kenny to Klopp they have tried their best to bring in the best players possible. Firmino paid over the tops. Lovren £20 mill. Sakho £20 mill, Wijnaldum £25 mill, Mane £35mill. The owners doesn't pick the players, doesn't draw formations or tactics. The manager is clearly at fault for the poor results. Klopp doesn't got another way other than running all day. He couldn't organize a defense and we have been leaking goals from day 1.

And For Wijnaldum. I am with you. He offers nothing to me as people claim here not for the money we paid nor the most important position he occupies.

28.) 23 Jan 2017
22 Jan 2017 23:54:30
No sweet I rate Wijnandum, he's effective in the right system and that system has to be driving forward and hard press. He seems to me to be potentially one of he bedt in the business for the modern 'water carrier' role but in a static midfield he's pointless as he serves no purpose. When Emre plays Wijnandums non effective. We need another attacking midfielder in the mould of cout Emre Cans a classic 442 midfielder. He's similar to Lucas looking gor the side ways pass which consequently relies on good wingers. Lucas came into his own under Kennys 442 but got cut short with the injury at Chelsea. Emre never has and never will be a Klopp type midfielder.
