I don't blame Migs today. I blame Lovren who did his best to avoid the cross and create time and space for Walters.
Why does he have these ridiculous slip ups?

Anyway, 3 points, 3 wins on the bounce, City next up. 😎.

Couldn't agree less with you there mate.

Sir Alex was the master of winning the titles and part of that is thinking in the now. Signing a player to win this title. (not saying that's hard byw haha) but how many time to we buy players for the next season.

Btw migs is not our keeper going forward, he doesn't learn as shown from the past 3 years. Did you bot see the goal conceeded today? Just because we won doesn't mean it wasn't a mistake.

Back to the signings, if we had the chance to sign say terry gor 6 months for 7 mil contract and win the title. Or sign can dijk and finish 3rd, truthfully who would you choose?

You are talking absolutes. When we know they don't exist in real life. If I could chose out of the options you gave me then obviosuly I would chose Terry but does Terry guarantee that option? Don't think so.
I'm an advocate for trusting in what has been and will be built. Bring in Hart doesn't immediately upgrade our team and it then means we have 3 other starting calibre keeps on the books. Again, for me that change in dynamics, chemistry etc etc is not worth entering into given it doesn't guarantee thw title at all.

{Ed001's Note - has no one actually bothered watching Hart play? Or are we supposed to take his mate's word for it being a good buy? Only that is the same crap that saw Carra and Gerrard convince the club to buy Joe Cole, and we know how that turned out! Hart is appalling, on the same level as Migs, a flapper who almost throws as many shots into his goal as he saves. He has not performed well at all with Torino.}

Did you see the 3 other mistakes before the ball got to Walter's head? I won't go on forevder cos I'm no Migs sympathiser lol but I've said before we are moat effective as a unit. when it all functions well and guys do their jobs then that gives us the best chance to win. The defence and midfield put migs in a tough spot there. Should he make the save? You'd like to think that whoever our insurance policy in goal is would make the save! He didn't and now some are just focused on him. I think that is a little unfair.

Terry and win the league obvs lol
More seriously though, it was a mistake by migs in not spotting the danger right in front of him that led to the goal, a good example of why he's not the answer long term despite a short run of having very little to do, thought his kicking was horrific today, can almost forgive the goal but them kicks? Wow!

Except SuperMane Joe Hart is a below average keeper at best who would command huge wages and drops clangers that are even worse than Karius and just as bad as mignolet. Best bet is to stick Karius in goal and reassess in the summer. Ed002 has mentioned many a times that Jan is a very difficult window to do business.

Omg I didn't say hart was the answer. Just his logic, about potentially sacrificing the title to give karius and mignolet more time by passing on someone who in the eyes of carra would win us the title.

I was just pointing out that if we replaced migs with cech for example, for 6 months to win the title then were talking in a heartbeat. Forger the longterm, get that title.

And this is ridiculous, the goal keeper can't be forgiven for such a crap attempt of a save because someone else made a mistake earlier. What your saying is we can't afford to ever let there be a shot on target. People make mistakes, but the goalkeeper has to save that effort. He had a hand on it and just wasn't strong enough.

Your all fine with that but if that was a losing goal you would all see sense.

Here we go, de gea would of saved it. End of.

Can't believe people blame Migs for their goal. It's a good cross, if SM is to do anything about it he has to be misplaced, and extremely woundrable to a cross over his reach. Walters header is from close range, more luck than skill to keep it out.

If blame is to be assigned Mane, Clyne and Lovren are first in line. But it's a good cross, a good run and a good finish. Let's just accept that sides do that to us at times.

I agree with Ron.

I think it was saveable, but that being said, it was a very powerful header with a lot of speed on it and i can understand why he wasn't anticipating moving closer to the near post. It certainly wasn't a huge mistake on his part.

The mistakes leading up to the goal were more the problem, mainly Lovren.

On Lovren, he has some ball playing qualities and looks pretty decent in some situations higher up the pitch. Better than a lot of defenders. Just wish his reading of the the game was better. He lacks pace and the only to make up for that is to anticipate things a step ahead, which he just doesn't do well imo.
