I love what Klopp said in the interview about GW. "We haven't signed any player that will be 4th choice. " (except Manninger)

Totally unintentional, but it speaks volumes for the flaws in Rodgers policy. Just look at the players leaving this summer. The youth system is for players who might make it. Buying players who 'might' make it or are simply not good enough to play in the 1st 11 is a pointless waste of money. Buying players that bring something better or different to what we already have is all we should see from now on.

Totally agree, Rodgers built an over inflated squad on players they would and never did challenge for the first team. So you end up with 15 extra average players outside the first team. Reality in today's game you need 15- 18 players that can all add something different and are all capable of being in the starting 11 without appearing weaker.

The 2 posters above are spot on, but you won't open your mind a millimetre to others thoughts on possibly one of the worst managers in our history. There's only hodgson who was worse and he didn't get anywhere near the time or the money of the "chocolate one" for that reason.

Doesn't matter how much liked or disliked Rogers you have to admit it's thanks to him we have an inflated midfield of average midfielders that are all the same and an inflated youth team with too many that aren't ever going to be good enough. Hopefully we'll now be streamlined at all levels but with every player good enough to step in and do a job on every level now. Rogers had a good first eleven but give him a couple of injuries and the lack of squad depth he bought showed very quickly.

Waro, I think his sigh is more in relation to people always dragging Rodgers into a post and having a dig about something. BR effed up but we as fans need to move on, stop talking about him and look to the future.

Anyway, getting back to Klopp's comment it's interesting.
I like GW and I think he will start a lot of games, but will Klavan and Grujic?

We do have a lot of players to get rid of if they're all going to play. Interesting times.

I like he signing of GW but don't see him starting lots unless the like of couts firms and mane are injured/ out of form but I do see him as someone with something differant to offer and could make a good impact.
