We currently have two LB's. Moreno and Smith. Both are pretty much on the same boat. We do expect Moreno to move in the summer, He gets replaced by a 19 year old kid who hasn't had much game at Leicester?

Brilliant. So our two LB for the upcoming season hasn't played 20 games combined?

Now that's some smart business done.

Just saying we will probs sign 2 lbs. Have only seen hector once myself so no idea of he was good. But we will defo not be relying on chilwell as nain lb if we get him, don't worry your little head :)

Age is irrelevant. I've only seen Chilwell twice. Both in the cup. Both against Spurs. He was absolutely brilliant. The only reason he is leaving is because Fuchs is probably one of the best left backs in the league.

We signed Gomez and he was brilliant before his injury. He was 18.

Why not save a few bob and buy a lb, then move moreno forward.

I don't think Moreno's good enough going forward to do that.

Or just sell Moreno and Smith and replace them with Chilwell and someone more defensive minded like a Hector?

was having an argument with United fans because they still think they're a better team than us due to league position. I told them the league table in respect to us and them is distorted because of our managerial disruption during the season, our lack of preseason with Klopp, and the amount of injuries we had. We've also outplayed them in every game under Klopp (despite one loss) .

They then couldn't deal with me asserting that De Gea is the main reason why they've only conceded 36 league goals. United fans still live with superiority complex.

{Ed001's Note - but they were the better team over the course of the season, though it remains to be seen if next season is the same. As for De Gea, that seems irrelevant as they do have him, who is to say that the next keeper they get will not also be top class?}

To keep Moreno as LB even as a back up, is downright stupid! He is unable to position himself defensively, and continues to make poor decisions. Will never be good enough for Liverpool.

{Ed001's Note - and Smith has shown little to suggest he is any different, both are young enough to improve, but Moreno has not yet had a real challenger for his position. Perhaps bringing one in could work to raise his game. It worked for Finnan, who was poor initially, until the club tried to replace him and he raised his game.}

On face value they were better over the course of the season, but they had a few advantages over us. I think we're a better team than them under Klopp. My point about de gea is he makes their average defenders look good, he covers their arses with his world class saves. De gea and mignolet faces the exact same amount of shots on target this season and mignolet let in around 10 more than de gea. And their defence is also only 'good' because they play a negative, risk-free style that hides the weaknesses of players like Smalling, who you yourself think is average. I would rather respect a defence that coexists with good attack, eg the Arsenal invincibles.

I watched Utd a lot this season and I still can't believe they won some of the games they won as they were rank aweful in many of them. They may have been better overall but that has a lot more to do with our inconsistent run than it has to do with their overall performance.

Yeah, for me there is no way that the current United team is genuinely better than the current Liverpool team. We were perhaps worse than them under Rodgers, but Klopp has since improved us. If Klopp had the benefit of a pre-season, and if we didn't go through the disruption of changing managers 8 matches, I doubt we would have finished below them. They've been absolutely awful for the majority of the season. At the end of the day, it's only a 6 point gap, and we've played a few games with virtually reserve sides.
