ED02, what is the mistake KLOPP made with Ward!
Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Taking him out of a league where he was playing every week and getting good experience to take him back to Liverpool where he is not playing.}

22 Feb 2016 22:13:46
I'm not sure but has Ward been sub?

2.) 22 Feb 2016
22 Feb 2016 22:18:20
Ed001 already said he was recalled as Bogdan was not deemed good enough even as cover.

{Ed002's Note - So? It has not done the club any good and has certainly not done the player any good.}

3.) 22 Feb 2016
22 Feb 2016 22:55:52
But Ed02, do you not think due to Bogdans "performances"
It was the right thing to do in case 1) Mingolets mistakes kept coming or 2) Mingolet got injured? Maybe as it has panned out it has not benefited either player or club but none of us can predict the future so I do t think you can call it a mistake as such by KLOPP.

{Ed002's Note - You are missing the point. Ward had the opportunity to play regularly, learn and improve. Klopp has taken that away from him.}

4.) 22 Feb 2016
22 Feb 2016 22:57:24
Well it's better to have a decent backup keeper than Bogdan so in that sense it has benefitted the club.

{Ed002's Note - Nonsense - you don't know how good he is because he hasn't played.}

5.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 00:04:41
Not missing the point at all Ed, just taking all possible scenarios in and giving a more balanced view than you.

{Ed002's Note - Sure - real benefit to Liverpool and great for the career of the kid.}

6.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 00:06:19
Well we allhope he's better than Bogdan or we coukd be up the Creek without a paddle.

{Ed002's Note - As I explained, the club are looking for a replacement for Bogdan.}

7.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 00:15:55
Edd002 I said this aswell with ward. It was a terrible decision to disrupt the lads loan when he was progressing for him to sit on a beach. Awful from the club and Klopps.

8.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 02:29:33
It sounds silly, but essentially Ward has been promoted to number 2 keeper. Unfortunately though, number 2 keepers spend most of their time on the bench. Number 3 keepers get loaned out. As I said, it sounds silly, but Ward has been rewarded for his efforts by getting less game time.

{Ed007's Note - Ward was doing well up here and a lot of Aberdeen were disappointed and worried when he was recalled.}

9.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 01:07:52
Was ward brought back before Migs signed or did Migs sign then ward brought back!? I can't remember.

{Ed007's Note - Ward was recalled about a week before the announcement that Mignolet had signed a new deal.}

10.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 03:26:57
do you think Aberdeen will try to sign him permantley ed 007?
he was having a brilliant season with them, how he must curse that Exeter corner, on top of that 1 week later you get told migs is having a 5 year contract football like life can be very cruel.

{Ed007's Note - Unfortunately Aberdeen couldn't afford him, even if he was on a Bosman/free he'd have better offers than Aberdeen.}

11.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 00:32:45
Sorry Ed but my heart is not going to bleed fir a young guy whos on who knows hiw many thousand pounds a week doing what he loves, at the end of the day se pay his wages to hopefully use him to our advantage, if he gets a game sooner rather thn later nd proves himself great but if he has to bide his time tough.
Big Al, you rate Bogdan then?

{Ed001's Note - and if we continue to misuse and abuse our young talent, they will stop joining us.}

12.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 06:53:15
My view for what's it's worth. by bringing him back we give ourselves better cover should Mignolet continue to struggle or get injured. He will be around better players and receive better daily training than at Aberdeen (debatable given our gk coach. ) He will still be involved in games, albeit training or reserve team games. I realise there's a difference between reserve team games and competitive ones in terms of atmosphere and pressure, but then there's a big difference between aberdeen and Liverpool in those terms anyway. On balance, I don't think it's the worst thing.

13.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 09:10:41
I feel sorry for Ward but I think Klopp did the right thing. If Migs got injured we need someone better than Bogdan to replace him. Ward got a bit of experience in Scotland but it was necessary to cut short his loan in case he's needed at his club. Shame he couldn't have seen the loan through to the end of the season but thems the breaks.

14.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 10:13:34
I don't see how people can disagree that ward shouldn't have been recalled.

Ward was gaining the experience he needed playing for Aberdeen.

He has now come back to us and had his arse sat on the bench for 4 weeks. He's not even had a chance in cup games.

Should only have been called back if he was going to get a look in.

15.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 10:51:14
Is playing in the SPL gaining the experience he needs?
I disagree, he needs to be playing in this country.
Not playing at all is probably the worst option.

Basically he has an opportunity, he has to impress as much as possible in training and if he gets a chance (likely IMO) he has to take it. At some point I expect Migs to make another complete cock up or "pick up a strain". If not I still think Kloppo will give DW a chance. If he'd stayed at Aberdeen he would have been off the radar.

Bogdan got 2 chances and blew it.

16.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 11:16:28
I am disappointed that he wasn't given a chance in the cup game against West Ham. I would say that the probability of Mignolet dropping a bollock is quite high so there is an outside chance of getting a game, though he would have been better off getting regular football at Aberdeen.

17.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 11:16:38
Totally agree with ed2, if he was never going to get a game leave him where he was and let him get experience. This nonsence about its just the scottish league is rubbish, experience is experience wherever you are playing especially if competitive.

18.) 23 Feb 2016

Ron

You shouldn't be recalling a player and hoping for what ifs.

Playing for any team is better experience than sitting on your arse.

19.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 11:38:07
Lavers look at the disagrees I got for speaking the truth on the ward loan. Take no notice.

20.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 08:00:29
Your only all defending the decision because klopp made it. It was a bad move and now we have a young player so round twiddling his thumbs and by giving migs a five year deal, pretty much cementing him to the bench for the foreseeable future

We have a duty of care to look after our young player, wether they make it with us, make it with another club or ain't good enough we can still help them get a job after football.

This gap between human beings playing my for an academy and being treated like robots because they get paid is utterly redicoulous

If dhanda breaks his legs tomorrow. What do you all honestly believe should happen and then what will happen

For me we should put him through college. Maybe coaching badges and honor his contract.

21.) 23 Feb 2016
23 Feb 2016 12:36:18
Who said he's been recalled for "what if's"?
I said even if Migs doesn't cock up I still expect Kloppo to give him a chance.
I said the same about not playing at all.
He hasn't played in the 6 weeks he's been back, doesn't mean he's not going to get a chance. Lots of assumptions being made.

I quote: "At some point I expect Migs to make another complete cock up or pick up a strain".

That seems like what ifs to me.

23.) 23 Feb 2016

What does the next sentence say Lavers?

Selective quoting 🤔.

The next line is you thinking klopp will give ward a chance.

Your "what ifs" and your opinion t klopp will give ward a chance don't seem like good enough reasons to bring the lad back from a loan in which he was actually benefiting from.
