Any truth in the Yerry Mina rumours?

KLOPPO

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any Yerry Mina rumours that involve Liverpool at all. There have been discussions between the player and another side and he will be leaving Barcelona on loan.}

1.) 04 Jul 2018 13:18:21
Blimey, that was quick for us to jump on the flavour of the moment!

2.) 04 Jul 2018 13:23:49
Looks great in the air but very clumsy, I wouldn’t be keen on us signing him.

3.) 04 Jul 2018 15:00:49
He's going to be the best cb in the world for about 10 years. Barcelona would be silly stupid to sell. He's so good! Absolute monster in defence. Imagine him and vvd. We wouldn't need a gk in net.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? Have you actually watched him try and defend? He scores a couple of goals and people overlook the fact he is absolute dog turd in defence.}

4.) 04 Jul 2018 15:21:14
I agree with you ed1,he is one of the most unashetically pleasing players I have seen in my life, makes Sakho look like Rio Ferdinand!
He is certainly commanding in the air both in his box and the oppositions but isolate him one on one with the ball at your feet and he is a clumsy liability.

{Ed001's Note - awful on the ball and positionally he is utterly inept.}

5.) 04 Jul 2018 15:33:53
Reminds me of Sakho, very rigid and can't turn.

6.) 04 Jul 2018 15:43:29
We should bring in the defensive coach of the Swedish team, we’ll be grand then 😉.

7.) 04 Jul 2018 15:48:11
The worst assessment I can deliver is that he made Davison Sanchez look like he was the composed half of the partnership!

8.) 04 Jul 2018 17:06:56
Don't care what use say. He played a part in completely locking us out today. Played through a groin strain. Kept up with a fresh vardy when injured and in extra time. Heart, passion, strength, power.

The same description was used for vvd. Athletically brilliant but an awful defender, lazy, show pony, waste of money. Yep go search all the comments from all those in the no.

Couldn't care less he scored apart from the fact that imagine that aerial threat for us defending and attacking. Like exactly what we need in the box when defending corners

I am praying we could pull this off. Would be insane!

9.) 04 Jul 2018 17:45:09
Kloppsboss - Re: Mina. nah, he's not. Harry Maguire might just be the best CB for the next ten years if he keeps up his current England performances! We should be looking at him, he was Hansenesque, striding out with the ball last night.

{Ed001's Note - hahahaha. People really do make ridiculous assertions after watching one performance against a team that never turned up.}

10.) 04 Jul 2018 17:58:06
Maguire. Good god.

Listen mina is a monster. We have vvd, Robertson, taa and fabinho to lock him into. That will protect a good amount of his flaws as he shouldn't be isolated to much.

Defending corners he will be magnificent.

Bullying players like lukaku will be to easy.

Showing heart, spirit, character for us will be a huge huge thing. More the merrier.

He also is at least 5 years away from what his prime could be.

Klopp is a terrific coach and vvd is an absolute beast of a partner for him.

11.) 04 Jul 2018 18:34:15
Lol Kloppsboss mate, may I ask how many times have you seen Mina play?

12.) 04 Jul 2018 19:58:06
Hey kloppboss go watch an actual game were Mina was forced to defend. One of the worst defensive performances I have ever seen in Barca's last game of the season. Cost them an unbeaten streak in the league. How can you say you don't care that he struggles with the basics of defending, you can't just buy a player just because he excels at one part of the defending.

13.) 04 Jul 2018 20:23:59
Barcelona is not the greatest place to judge defenders bud. There so open it's mental. Busquets as cover for them that is it. Anyone who actually bothers attacking them can win, just no-one can get the ball.

Our defenders from Jan onwards very rarely apart from the United game, got really singled out but any defender can be made to look a tit.

Just remember city just won the league with otamendi. Otamendi though!

We're quality attacking, we have fabinho, vvd, Robbie and taa. We're solid nowadays and he's very young, got to a lot of learning and offers or something drastic we need with a big presence in our box from corners and attacking wise. He wouldn't even have to or probably won't anyway be a starter but he'd be great cover and might really excel under klopp and watch vvd.

I personally think he's an absolute monster and could really add a nasty side to our defence. Plus I would love to watch Jesus, hazard and such to just bounce off him.

14.) 05 Jul 2018 10:20:20
Would be happy taking Maguire, watched him at Hull and thought we should have got him before Leicester took him, Robertson and Ox worked out very well and Maguire would be excellent alongside Van Dijk.

15.) 05 Jul 2018 17:51:39
Mina is nothing special. He'd bring good depth, but I prefer to see them develop Gomez in a CB role.

Do we hold any interest in Ndidi?

KLOPPO

1.) 24 May 2018 03:47:31
Ndidi we do.

Actually we don’t but we probably should.

2.) 24 May 2018 04:15:33
We have no interest in Ndidi and I am happy we have none! Why do we need another ball winner? We need a DLP. Someone who picks players not someone who win from opposition!

3.) 24 May 2018 08:42:59
Yes Ndidi we do.

4.) 24 May 2018 10:34:55
A DLP, hmmm. so someone like Kovacic, Harry?

5.) 24 May 2018 10:55:08
Ndidi-ly doodily.

{Ed002's Note - Random players ... Liverpool page.}

1.) 12 Jun 2018 19:07:16
Not really random as we’ve had previous interest. And I’m aware this is the Liverpool thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he was another who was tapped up by Klopp and Liverpool were warned about it.}

2.) 12 Jun 2018 19:14:32
Yes I remember that. Do we still hold any interest?

11 May 2018 21:29:42
Hoping anyone can help please. I’ve just purchased tickets for the live screening of the final at Anfield. I have received a confirmation email but it doesn’t actually say how I’ll get the tickets. Does anyone know the process?

KLOPPO

1.) 11 May 2018 21:53:28
If any of the EDDS r around,
As usual end up with no ticket for final,
Don’t know what to make of these ballots, stood more chance with season ticket serial numbers,
Noticed that SOS have had a real go at UEFA in there statement, the main problem is UEFA don’t give finalist enough tickets but corporate get to many,
There must be something we as fans can do to alter the course of this, perhaps in the early rounds next year we could have a mass walk out like the Sunderland game or better still only go into the game for second half, something to give us maximum exposure and I’m sure othe top European clubs would join. surely this business has to come to a head soon, it’s been going on for far to long.

{Ed002's Note - https://twitter.com/wonderdogsparky

2.) 11 May 2018 22:45:28
😂 got to love WDS 👍.

3.) 11 May 2018 22:59:49
I got one flights are a joke looking at £2000.

4.) 11 May 2018 23:59:04
Organise mass fan boycotts of UEFA sponsors products unless they put pressure on UEFA to play fair. That’s the only way to do it.

They get massive exposure through Champions League televised games but their expenditure would be worthless if nobody was buying their products.

Believe me, it will take something drastic to stop UEFA from taking fans for fools.

5.) 12 May 2018 00:12:09
cheers sparky.

6.) 12 May 2018 00:40:26
I've got my boat from belfast to Liverpool for final (couldn't afford flights) is it worth me booking tickets to anfield or would it be as much craic watching in a bar with cheaper pints?

Any help appreciated as I haven't been to Liverpool in years.

7.) 12 May 2018 03:30:24
A good bar and cheap pint's garreunteed brilliant craic.

8.) 12 May 2018 07:41:41
KLOPPO-Pretty sure you need a print out, read season tickets and members cards won’t be activated.

9.) 12 May 2018 08:56:47
Bmena-red go to a bar mate.

10.) 12 May 2018 14:14:22
Do I just print off the confirmation email then?

05 Jan 2018 01:11:58
If and when Coutinho leaves we have to replace him with Lemar.

Lemar and Keita in for Can and Coutinho is very decent business in my opinion.

KLOPPO

1.) 05 Jan 2018 05:00:11
It would be good but I would be very concerned that such a midfield (hypothetically Henderson/ Gini/ Ox (? ) Keita Lemar) is a little light weight, it's why Can is constantly selected despite almost certainly leaving - he has that physicality and strength which none of our other midfielders really have and, in the PL, it makes a difference. Never the less will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 07:47:15
More or less physical that silva, de bruyne and Fernandinho?

14 Apr 2017 18:57:09
Personally I think Joe Gomez playing on the left side of the back three rather than Klavan would provide better cover for Milner when he gets forward as Gomez is capable of covering across and getting 1v1 with wingers due to his pace.

Also it would allow us to change system to a back 4 at any point with Gomez going to left back. Also he's much more comfortable on the ball than Klavan.

KLOPPO

1.) 14 Apr 2017 19:24:17
I hope and pray Klopp does not play and back three vs WBA. We do not have players who are capable of playing as wing backs and a back 3 who are not on the same page. Disaster waiting to happen.

2.) 14 Apr 2017 21:34:04
I don't agree that we are short of suitable wing backs, Max. It's having three solid centre backs who have the positional sense to play together in a back three is where the system falls down.

3.) 15 Apr 2017 01:59:03
Yes we do, we have Moreno who basically plays wingback even in a back 4 and Milner can go on the right so that we have better end product. With the height of WBA and the injuries we have, a back three might be the best.
I agree with the argument of Gomez at LCB (in a back 3). Middle: Can, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, ST; Firmino, Sturridge in a 3412 or 532 which ever way you look at it.

4.) 15 Apr 2017 02:53:23
I'm not a big fan of a back 3 because I think Klavan and Lovren are relatively poor out wide, but if we do play it we need to play 3-4-3 like in the second half of Stoke rather than 3-5-1-1 which left Woodburn and Origi isolated. At least with a 3-4-3 we also have 3 players upfront that can add width if necessary and control possession going forward.

Assuming a 3-4-3 I'd go for
Lovren - Matip - Gomez
TAA - Wiji - Can - Milner
Firmino - Origi - Coutinho

Use Sturridge off the bench once opposition tires.

5.) 15 Apr 2017 10:07:51
Honestly hadn't thought about it but good points lads, if we are to play a back 3 I think it would be the perfect time to try and integrate joe as he has that bit of pace and could switch to full back!
Also I'd love to see haych's team given a shot but honestly would prefer if we played our regular formation, give woodburn ojo or Wilson a shot at wing and grujic in midfield we would then have two of origi studge and firmino to bring on to change it up.

30 Jun 2016 13:10:34
Have we any interest in Axel Witsel? Seems top drawer and would be an great signing IMO.

KLOPPO

1.) 30 Jun 2016 15:36:57
This question was answered this morning mate and the answer was no.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 15:37:12
He's awful. Like Lucas mk2. To slow.

3.) 30 Jun 2016 16:07:49
Awful player. Criminal that he gets picked ahead of Fellani.

Should've been sent off twice already in these Euros. Awful passing. Awful end product. No defensive awareness. He's just an athlete who seems to get away with his dirty style of play. No thanks. Save yourself £20m and get Lee Cattermole if that is the kind of player you want.

Wilmots is a terrible manager, but picking Witsel over the players he has at his disposal is borderline stupidity. They've only played one good team so far, and they got found out by Italy for the lack of balance in their defence, and the lack of control in their midfield.

4.) 30 Jun 2016 16:30:46
Wilmots is tactically inept and woeful coach. If Belguim had a manager as quality as their squad they could and would dominate international football. They almost don't have a weak area and at least two sides available which are capable of winning everything. They just do not have a coach who can get them playing as a team, or able to pick an 11 which can have a plan B.

Shame for the Belgiums.

5.) 30 Jun 2016 18:49:25
MK, I have been a fan of Lee Cattermole's for a while. Always thought he could step it up in terms of club and club ambition. Be interesting to read you doing a synopsis on him mate.

{Ed001's Note - hahaha.}

6.) 30 Jun 2016 19:27:17
Dembele should blatantly play. Witsel isn't fit to lace Fellaini's boots. And that is saying something!

7.) 30 Jun 2016 19:55:11
Lee Cattermole is hopeless, and just as much of a thug as Fellaini is. He was read the riot act after his club got sick of him being sent off 5 times a season, not that it mattered as he would just run around 10 minutes behind the ball, lunging at players he was too slow to keep up with.

8.) 01 Jul 2016 08:48:44
Lee Cattermole, hahahahahahah just made my morning.

Am I right in thinking FSG have a connection with Roma somehow? If so surely it can make talks between the clubs easier.

Ed001 who do hope we sign to solve the goalkeeper problem? Do you reckon Karius could be given another chance?

Sakho is not going anywhere in January or anytime soon!

Everyone needs to calm down.

He signed a new contract recently and is our best and (when he's fit) our first choice CB.

He is extremely happy at the club and Klopp is a big fan of his.
