That was a poor performance against a poor side I thought. We only looked like scoring when we went down to 10 men

Allen was lightweight and SG was of the pace. However Coutinho brilliant as was Can.

I know we won, but this kind of performance is not good enough. We came very close to being knocked out

Said for ages Allen is lightweight and pointless. Forgot he was playing until Danns fouled him the 2nd time.

Liverpool should not struggle against any championship side, so it really shows how average Allen and Gerrard are/have become, cause we lost the middle of the park until they went down to 10.

Can't fault anyother area. Defence, keeper, attacking players and wing backs all played well or at least did their jobs.

Looked better when Can came forward and Henderson was on, Gerrard continued to be wasteful. But it was against 10

We had to rest our best midfield which is Lucas and Henderson for Saturday. We stuck at the game really well and came through a tough cup tie. We played good football all game and was unlucky not too be leading before that pen that never was. As you can see just by this round cup ties are tough, it doesn't matter who you play.

Allen is lightweight and technically unspectacular. When he finally came off I thought we were absolutely brilliant!

I agree that Allan and gerrard were poor. But the display wasn't bad. Sterling was put clear thru twice and wrongly ruled off side both times. We hit the woodwork 3 times and their penalty was never a penalty. Not to mention sterling and Coutiniho were not given any protection by the ref.
Certainly not vintage by us but job done and move on. In other words stop whinging.

I'm pretty sure we hit the woodwork 3 times at least. There are fine margins of error at times along with the debatable penalty. For me as Phil Neville put it the ref let the game flow but too much. That only worked in Boltons favour given they were constantly crunching our men. Lucky to not pick up any injuries! It might not be good enough for some fans but I suspect Chelsea or City would take that result!

They got a lucky penalty (not saying it was or wasnt a pen, but lucky). We played well throught, Bolton as you would expect in a game like this threw everything at it, this showed at the end in tiredness and being down to 10 not helping them. If it wasnt for the woodwork it could of been a more clear win but for once the team did show "Great Character".

Mighty, i respectfully disagree. We did not play good footie at all until we we got desperate afte the red card. We were poor and sluggish from stat to the 66th minute. we were toothless upfront by trying to score the perfect goal. I`m happy we won BUT we need to play better, for sure.

How can you play poorly and create 20 chances?
That's a chance to score every 4 and a half minutes.
I think that is pretty good.
