Reading rangers have made an official offer for Solanke not sure if it's true.

{Ed025's Note - they are desperate for a good forward jonesy...so why they are looking at him is beyond me mate.. :)

No danger of them looking to the blue side of Liverpool then Ed ;)

{Ed025's Note - they could do a lot worse than take DCL on loan for a couple of months bobby, hes going to be star that young man let me tell you, even oumar niasse would be the best player probably ever to play in the scottish league mate...have you ever watched the SPL?.. :)

Solanke to rangers is a potential great move. He should play week in week out, he'll be expected to score and if he does it'll do him the world of good. Could be a great loan deal.

{Ed001's Note - not convinced, it means we will end up paying most of his wages, because there is no way they are going to pay the ludicrous amount we agreed to pay him. Personally I think we should look to sell him and get him off the wage bill.}

Interesting views.

From the little we've seen of him, I think Brewster is a better prospect and fits better with our style of play. It helps that he models himself on Firmino so should slot in more easily.

I think you said, Ed001, a while back that Solanke looked so good, in part, due to the fact that he was so much bigger than others in his age group, and now playing with men has exposed some weaknesses.

I guess, if we don't get an offer, a loan to Rangers would certainly demonstrate one way or another if he can cope with the physical nature of the mens game.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate I stand by that comment, he is not that good technically or mentally. He has a father who is a pain in the arse and very demanding of the club as well. I don't believe he is anywhere near the player the club thought he was and is someone we should just get rid of asap.}

Any chance the deal could be permanent sir ed?

{Ed001's Note - with his wage demands probably not.}

Not like you to get carried away Ed lol, you will go and buy a forward now you have money and players like DCL will be forced to forge their careers at other clubs, as is the way with other clubs in the top echelon.

{Ed025's Note - i hope not den, i think DCL needs some playing time and the pressure on top clubs to achieve results is so high that taking chances with youth is frowned upon mate, i believe he is talented and would hope he gets a chance with us but if not hones his game on loan somewhere and returns a more rounded player..

Ed01, if I remember correctly, Chelsea refused to give in to Solankes greedy wage demands, but Liverpool were happy to pay what he demanded.
I also don't think he will make it at Liverpool, so it would make sense to get his wages off the bill. Why pay ludicrous wages to an unproven talent.

{Ed001's Note - correct mate, Chelsea laughed at his demands.}

DCL is an awful player Ed. So bad that you’re playing a winger that can’t finish as a striker ahead of him.
Rangers would be much better off with Solanke who does actually have a chance of being a top player ;)

{Ed025's Note - no bobby he is a young guy who has what it takes to succeed, tall athletic and can put himself about a bit, he also has an eye for a goal and with a bit more experience will become a top top player i believe, vikram on the other hand is what johnny rotten is to opera im afraid mate.. :)

{Ed025's Note - banter is what its all about bobby, have a great one yourself mate..
