Expect Max Meyer to be announced as a Liverpool player, no idea of a timeframe yet but it will be announced before end of window. That's what I have just been told.

If it happens I personally would be delighted as he is an excellent player.

Literally only yesterday Ed002 informed us that our interest in Meyer was seemingly completely gone for now.

I know he said "for now" but I'd be amazed if in less than 24 hours we've gone from not even being in talks with Schalke to an announcement being made.

Seems unlikely to me. If your source gets it right, fair play. Ed002 is rarely wrong, so i remain a skeptic. I think Meyer will sign a pre-contract with Spurs to be honest.

He's a right footed attacking midfielder who can play anywhere across the middle of the pitch. It would be unfair to compare him to any other footballer, but he could easily slit straight into let's say.

A similar role Couts has been doing so far this season.

Your source named him? Or a player from schalke?

Would seem more likely to be goretzka if it's a player from schalke given current reports.

I hardly doubt that Goretzka, if joining would be the replacement for Coutinho. As I see it, it would be Max Meyer for Coutinho and Goretzka for Can if he is to leave. Exciting times ahead.

Agree Smed. Think that would be a decent. Two players with plenty of potential.

Meyer not at couts level yet, but feel goretzka would be an upgrade on can.

Time will tell.

With all the links to their players to us it seems a bit like Schalke are the German Southampton. They must be doing well in their scouting department and academy to keep finding all these talents.
