I've just been in conversation with pal of mine and he said he's been told today the woodburn might be going to Newcastle for a season long loan?

Any of the eds shed any light on this and would Newcastle be the right move for him? I'm not so sure . As I think all the players there are in a no win situation as to the expectancy of the Newcastle fans.

Newcastle fans aren't expecting jack this year beyond surviving relegation because of their transfer policy. Most of them will direct the majority of their ire at Mike "I haven't talked to the manager since March" Ashley as they struggle this season. Rafa and any player who appears to give a fiddlers will be alright.

As long as he puts a shift in, which he will, there shouldn't be a problem from the fans. The main problem would be Rafa walks in a couple of months time and his replacement doesn't trust a young player loaned in for a relegation battle.

I think he's too young to go on loan. and too good forthat matter,

He is that good a prospect that I would have him rotating with Coutinios replacement, for cup games and prem. but not enough for burn out.

He should a full time member of the 1st team squad.

I love watching the lad play, he finds good space nuturally.

He needs to go where he's going to play - I'm not sure Newcastle is right for him. Would be great for Origi though. they need him.

I'm not so sure it would be a good move for the kid. it's a 1 club city and everything revolves around that club . the fans have been know to knock on players doors before now and demand answers after defeats. I think maybe a Bournemouth side who play some really nice football at times would maybe compliment his game of dare I say Huddersfield under klopps best mate Wagner.

{Ed001's Note - the fans love Rafa and are 100% behind him. Everything that goes wrong is laid at Ashley's door right now, so the players are very well protected by the fact that any that flop are blamed on Ashley penny pinching.}

Rafa will keep them up. No doubt. I was really looking forward to seeing more of woodburn. As much as I'd like him to stay, if he were to go out on loan Newcastle would be my preference. Rafa will look after him. He would come back a much better player, unless some brute breaks his legs coz he is slight in build. They're all great footballers, it's the ones who can do it with 60.000 watching and millions on TV. A couple more goals like the beauty he scored in pre season and his confidence will soar.

He needs to go to a club that plays the same high tempo football.

Huddersfield?
