Hope he's back soon but I'm very glad Sturridge is looking dangerous right now too.

I really hope he is fit for the Europa games. His physicality and work rate will give the Villareal defenders a headache. Shame on Funes Mori though for celebrating an injury caused by him to a fellow professional, i hope he gets a lengthy ban and a good dressing down from the concerned people.

If its sprained ed he ain't got no chance for the Vilareal games has he?

{Ed001's Note - depends on the severity, but it is highly unlikely he will play in the first leg.}

Klopp didn't say it was ligament damage, he said they will need to check things like the ligaments but it wasnt a break.

A sprained ankle IS ligament damage there are essentially just differing degrees of damage. It looked a nasty turn of the ankle although they can look worse than they are. Landing awkwardly after a jump, with the full weight of the body going over it can sometimes be worse than a tackle like that. I'd still rate him doubtful for next week though, let's hope it's not severe. On the plus side, Sturridge is regaining his match sharpness that's for sure!
