Even if we don't sign anyone there are still plenty of positives.
we have not had to sell any players
we have not wasted money on poor signings
players won't get upset over signings for their positions
we are not leeds united
we are currently in a champions league position in the league
we beat THEM 4 - 0 only a few days ago
things are good

Hi Ed, you just said that we weren't to far off the price to begin with in the Konoplyanka deal but then why are they taking so long to get the deal done? Surely the closer it gets to the deadline the stronger the position of the selling club becomes and also the higher the chance of being outbid by a desperate club that's willing to pay over the odds? It seems a very risky strategy. Anyhow I hope we get him. It wouldn't look good if we lost out again to another club at the last moment.

How come all our transfer activity seems to be public knowledge? Is it the players agent and selling club releasing details it out to the press in attempt to get more money? I would love it if we completed a transfer without the world knowing but I guess this will never happen again.

It would be great to see us get Konoplyanka though I am not getting too excited until he actually signs the deal. I still would love for us to also try and get a strong defensive minded midfielder. We cannot reply on players not getting injured as we have unfortunately seen, Lucas and Allen are now regularly missing matches. Anyway good luck to the Liverpool accession team, hopefully they will get some deals done.
