A while ago we were linked with Zambrano, according to a couple of reports I've read he is refusing to sign a new deal with Frankfurt as his current one expires this summer. I understand that any CB signings might have to wait until summer unless someone is sold but has there been any interest from us recently?

Has anyone, not necessarily us, looked at Phillip Hosiner as a cheap back up striker? Not a bad fox in the box type player. Unproven outside Austria but worth a gamble at the small fee he'd cost.

Hi Ed's you mentioned Turan wanting to come to us and us having had discussions with his club, is he a realistic target and what price do you think Athletico would want? He doesn't seem any better than Aspas but I suspect he would cost twice if not three times as much. Are these injuries an indication of the lack of fitness training under Rodgers? Or is Klopps training just that intense?

Tbf from what I've read so far Sturridge (possibly), ings, benteke, coutinho, firmino, Henderson and Gomez are all out. Plus new manager be an interesting game! Will truly test eds superstition!

Gomez was done in an international match, Henderson I'm a game, Flanagan and Sturridge both long term and Ings was in training, they're all different so it can't be put down to one thing.

Quick question for the eds or anyone that might know, do you have any idea why every man and his dog seem to know our transfer targets this window? I thought the club were working hard to stop things getting out but a lot of targets reported have been fairly accurate. Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs struggle to keep things quiet when selling clubs need to attract interest from as many sides as possible to keep prices keen; scouts have a good relationship with folks from the press; agents are somewhere near a hotel bar; super agents crave company etc..}

Quick question for the eds if I may. To the best of your knowledge are we planning on keeping borini?

I was watching a YouTube video or his season with sunderland earlier and what most people see is 10 goals in a season but if you look closer, all but one were in the second half of the season once he got a regular run in the team and he scored some crackers! Really think he's got what it takes to be the next sturridge and would be gutted to see him leave.

Anyone think rogers should(or might) wait to see how Ibe performs in pre season before going and buying another striker/wide forward to replace suarez?

For me Ibe has all the attributes, he has a physical presence, he's quick and skillful. I'd personally like to see him thrown in at the deep end.
