Eds, I'd like some clarification on a few things if that's ok!
There is a lot of speculation about Luis Suarez taking legal action against LFC to engineer a move this summer, after his supposed "release clause" was activated by arsenal bidding £1 above the £40m figure. My question is whether Suarez would have a leg to stand on in this debacle? Do Liverpool have every right to say you're under contract for the next couple of years, you're staying put!
Thank you {Ed002's Note - Last summer Suarez's representatives added a clause that would allow the player to talk with another club if a bid of a certain amount was made. It is not a "release clause" and none of the parties are claiming it is. Liverpool dispute this and both parties took legal advice some weeks ago. It was hope that a confrontation could be avoided before Australia but that was not to be. We are now in to the posturing phase, the peacock displaying his tail feathers. Nobody will want this to be dealt with on a legal basis but Liverpool want the best deal they can get.}

Good win and clean sheet on a terrible surface. Obviously wasn't the greatest performance but a win is a win. I only hope by the season starts Rodgers realises that both Ibe and Sterling offer much more of a threat than downing ever has or ever will do. I didn't see downing beat two players and then have the composure to play a well timed through ball which lead to a goal. It's a no brained in my view!

I don't get why people are saying Suarez is dumb, he's going to get exactly what he wanted. A move away from this club for champions league football, without all the fuss of handing in a transfer request, leading to hate from the fans. eg Torres. Biting someone a couple of games before the end of the season is going to get bad press no matter where your from. Now he has an excuse to leave, seemingly the British media's fault. He knows exactly what he's doing he has even seemed to convince some of the fans that he "really" wants to stay. He's a cunning, slimy twit who is actually quite intelligent. Not everyone will agree but that's what I see.
