I've seen a few Nigel De Jong questions but can't find any responses from Eds about whether they think this possible loan move has legs. What do you think guys?
I think he would be great for us, but AC Milan's injury list had me worried it wouldn't happen. The rumours are now that Essien will move there, allowing it to happen? Have the heards heard much?
I'd rather get this done than Salah if I'm honest, at least we have talented youngsters in Salah's position. We look weak in midfield sometimes!
{Ed001's Note - we haven't had a look at Milan this season, but I am sure Rodgers will know all about him, so he would probably not need to scout him. I don't see it though, I would think he would want him looked at if he was in his thoughts, just to check he is ok.}

Totally agree with the above post.
Even if Can moves into midfield next year, and if we still play 3 at the back, and ignoring the fact that Toure may still be around, we would possibly still need 6 CB's.
You would have to think that Skrtel and Sakho will be nailed on (based on recent performances), with either Lovren or Wisdom filling the other spot and Illori and young Jones as back up.
If Brendan decides to revert back to a back 4 though I would think one or two would need to be moved on.

I'd take Jovetic in a heartbeat (just him and Origi in place of Borini, Lambert and Ballotelli is the thing of my dreams!), he would compliment Sturridge or challenge him for his position upfront. You'd hope e could keep one of them fit at any given time?

If any club had an interest in Rickie Lambert then I would imagine they would have scouted him recently, and if they've scouted him recently I would imagine that any interest would have ended suddenly!
We haven't replaced Suarez yet have we? The money we spent in the summer should have been spent regardless of the Suarez situation to deepen the squad in my opinion, so I'm still expecting a decent signing to replace Suarez, although I suspect I'll be disappointed. How good would Jovetic be if City are signing Bony?
