Really looking forward to the Match Review Ed001 - they are my favourite reading of the week. Would be interested to know your thoughts, as I actually think the 2 sending offs have benefitted us as it has forced us in both games to switch to a normal back 4 and ditch this awful inverted full back tactic. It also looks like Arsenal are using it too and not doing so well with it either (more in their performances rather than results as such) . I still feel we need a really strong number 6 (DM) as losing both of Hendo and Fab looks like we are so short there. Early days for Endo obviously, but it is a big ask on him (and Bajcetic) to play maybe 60 games there. As they both seem pretty flexible anyway, would you buy another DM? I know we need another CB but it just seems like that is not happening! Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - the match review is up on football-news-views.co.uk

Thanks Ed001 - found it there. Great analysis of the game. Surely JK must see that this inverted FB system is not right for us? After all, Jk is the man in charge and not PL.

{Ed001's Note - I hope so and thank you.}

Thanks for the review Ed. It is always something to look forward to. I was fuming with the referee all game but most of all the Newcastle players and staff trying to get TTA sent off. Not a booking in sight?
Also Joelinton kicked everything and was warned- only to continue in the same way. Nunes then got booked straight away for hardly anything.
Shocking officiating!

{Ed001's Note - it was terrible, a proper homer ref.}

Thanks for that Ed mate, really good read as always. Jota had a proper impact didn’t he, the pass for that Salah chance was like a kickstarter to the team going forward.

Also I didn’t see a note for big Joe, who I thought played really well in the circumstances.

{Ed001's Note - oh bugger did I miss out Gomez? I also seem to miss someone! }

Great review as usual Ed. Must say that I would think Ljinders and that Newcastle assistant manager would make the best of buddies. Both seems to love the spotlight on themselves. On the other hand, I'm really excited about Szobo Ed. It seems like we have a very good player in our hand.

Good read ed001 but what did poor Gomez do to offend you, lad can't even get a kind word after a decent performance ?.

{Ed001's Note - I know! I always seem to miss someone out every week. I have fixed it now though mate. And thank you.}

Great review. Fantastic to see Gomez play as well as he did just like Man City at home last season. I'd like to see him partner Virgil. Great pace and he looked so comfortable on the ball from his first kick. Robbo said as much also going on to say it give the rest of the team confidence. Joey never seems to smile much in the training videos. Always makes me wonder if that's his personality or he's just having a hard time of it w injuries form confidence etc. We always hear "he's like a new signing" but if he comes back the player he was before he broke his ankle at West Ham then fantastic. Starter for me then.

Ed001. Great review again! Without Ali I'd say this unbeaten run we're on would not happen. Surely the players can have a team meeting and tell Klopp to throw the hybrid stuff in the bin?
I definitely think we have enough midfield options but with Konate and Matip being unreliable with fitness, we desperately need a centre half. We won't get one though.
As for the ref, I struggled to watch the game seeing how biased he was. Amazed Klopp didn't self combust.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Lee. I often wonder if the players do want to change them or if they are just as stubborn and want to prove everybody wrong.}
