With the exception of Manchester Utd, I've always had a "live and let live" view of football. Don't worry about what other teams are doing as long as we're doing ok. However, I have to say, I would love it if Everton get relegated and don't come back for some years. Awful club. Badly run at the top, idiot manager who is way out of his depth but comes out talking like he's prime Paisley or Ferguson, and a horrible bunch of players.

Lampard yesterday only wanted to talk about decisions they didn't get, trying to deflect from the fact that his ineptitude and that of his players had resulted in some of the worst and most embarrassing stats ever - 87% : 13% possession. Liverpool 700 accurate passes to Everton's 93. Thiago alone completed more passes than the entire Everton team in the whole match. What an absolute shambolic embarrassment of a performance. Lampard stated that he couldn't fault his players. Seriously? Your players had 13% possession and couldn't even complete 100 passes in the match, were more intent on wasting time and faking injuries and for both of our goals they left players completely unmarked on the back post (Robertson first goal, and Diaz assist for second goal) . If you're a manager and you can't fault your players for that performance, I think you're not going to be a manager for very long.

My guess is that it will only be a year or two before Lampard is done as a manager and crawls back to the comfort of being a pundit where he'll sit there in his seat and chat nonsense like he's the greatest football tactician ever. Whether Everton get relegated or not, I don't see it being long before they sack Lampard. If they do go down, he'll probably think he's too big for a Championship club anyway. Didn't deliver the objective at Derby but got lucky in getting one of the biggest jobs in the league at Chelsea because he was a very popular player there. Made a mess of that with a lot of financial backing and a squad that went on to win the Champions League as soon as they got Lampard out of the way and hired a proper manager. Now he's taken Everton from struggling but not in immediate danger and dragged them into the relegation zone.

RR, Lampard is the typical example of how the football establishment works in England. How could a guy so arrogant, incompetent and quite frankly, thick get a top prem league job at Chelsea and now, Everton? We have Graham Potter who is three times the manager this loser is and is not being touted around. Why? He is not part of the Footie Establishment cos he made his name overseas.

The guy (Lampard) is so spineless and such a coward (digging out his layers to protect his fragile ego) that I would not want him anywhere around me at the workplace cos he takes NO responsibility for his own actions. Saying that had Salah been fouled the same way he thinks Gordon was, he would have gotten a pen. Not only is that NOT true BUT most of all, that is a smear on the ref's integrity. But I bet you even after he takes Everton down to the abyss, someone in the PL will give him another job cos well, that's how the Establishment works. Just ask Big Scam.

Took the many words right outta my mouth. This is karma for the abuse they gave Rafa even before he was appointed. Everton football suits the Championship to a tee.

Isn't lampard in mensa Oli?

{Ed0666's Note - apparently Lampard has an IQ of 150. I’m comparison Einsteins was 160 coupled with an outrageously high IQ Lamps has 11 GCSE’s which include Latin, so hes no Jack Grealish that’s for sure. But if he’s that bright how comes Everton are in the bottom 3 after being 6 points above the relegation zone when he took over?

Peteprice, not sure what Mensa means BUT if he was in any way competent and had any integrity and humility, he would not conduct himself as arrogantly and as disgracefully as he has been since he took the job. I bet you if Everton went down, he'll blame Rafa, the board, the players, the fans, my mom for his own failures. His arrogance will not let him hold himself to account and learn from such a failure. Just my opinion.

A high IQ doesn't necessarily make you a good football manager. It could be part of the problem. Maybe he struggles to get his ideas across to the Jack Grealish of this world? It certainly looks that way.

{Ed0666's Note - isn’t that what pictures are for?

Frank was a top player scored a lot of goals but i bet if you went back on recordings of his goals a large precentage were deflections he was a hit and hope while Stevie G goals were struck perfect into the goals but Frank got the london press backing him above Stevie and now we have him coming in to a team who had spent the kids savings and he has not got the knowledge to deal with he is left with . If Frank thinks 11 men behind the ball is the answer then he will feel the wrath of the blue fans at end of season when dust has settled he is out of his depth he has never been in a situation like this before and is being found out when.

Ed666, Visual aids are very essential and clearly not just to nursery school kids, based on the conversation we are having about Lampard and the Everton players.

Lampard was a very good footballer but manager, not so much. I loved the this is your last visit to anfield chant. Their fans were a disgrace. Scum.

Lampard was an excellent player, claiming his goals were largely deflections is just an embarrassing attempt to denigrate what he achieved. He wasn't a patch on Gerrard as an all round player though, not even close.
How many top quality players actually go on to have successful managerial careers though? It's a fairly small percentage, and the one that stands out the most is my personal hero our very own Mr Dalglish.
Being an exceptionally clever guy doesn't help as much as being able to deal with people, and Jurgen Klopp has got the market cornered on that attribute.
