Ronaldo to Utd!
He is past his best but still dedicated to his profession and will score goals in that team with Fernandez in behind him. I’m gutted to read he has returned to united.

Why Hughes? It is typical of Utd's scattergun approach to signings. It smacks to me of not wanting City to sign him rather than an actual considered decision. A day ago it was not a consideration if the press is anything to go on.

Ronaldo was a world class player and he is still a fair bit better than the average. 36 year old. But, I don’t see how adding another forward is going to improve their weak defence.

I think this is just another purchase made for effect by the Glazers to try and win over the fans who have never really liked them and who ‘lost it’ when United’s owners were prominent in the push for the breakaway league.

I knew Utd has no transfer strategy at all BUT this Ronaldo move just took the biscuit. It makes NO sense at all in a footballing sense. Yeah they may have options BUT the team is so unbalanced and their fundamental issues in goal, RB in CM have not yet been fixed and they paid a 36 yr old ex legend 500k a week? And with a manager like Ole? Yikes!
