Ed’s, quick thought to throw at you. With the struggles in midfield and with creativity over the last few weeks, I don’t think it would be the worst idea in the world to give TAA a crack at centre midfield. He’s expected to end up playing there at some point so why not throw him in and see how he gets on and give Williams a couple of games at right back? Just a thought haha.

{Ed001's Note - Williams was poor at the start of the season though.}

Yes I remember but honestly, TAA hasn’t been his usual self at RB either. I don’t think he’s ever been brilliant at defending although he’s better than he’s given credit for. Even his attacking form this season hasn’t been up to his usual high standards but whether that’s down to him still feeling the effects of C.V. I don’t know.

I think he was expected to play there early in his career as its where he played with the u23’s but I don’t think there has been any urgency or hint of him ever playing there under Klopp. The amount of goals we have created by him playing RB the last few years means he is crucial to our system and I can’t see it ever happening anymore.

Maybe we should sell nico and bring in serious competition for trent Chelsea have it, city, united have it that's what we should be striving for if u want too stay on top . Players who can come in an be equally as important and reliable.

We’re fighting for a top 4 spot. Not sure it’s the best time to experiment with our midfield.

Spot on, IDreamOfGini. OP, the time for experimenting is over, not that we had enuff wiggle room to do that to begin with. We are in a mammoth battle for top 4 and we need to go with what we know and what works and has worked in the past and even this season.
