Morning eds1
Has there been a Darby game review yet mate?

{Ed001's Note - not yet mate, not had a chance to watch it again yet. Difficult to find time when games are coming so thick and fast!}

Make sure it's a unbiased account please Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - I will be trying Bazza, I just had to watch the opening minutes to see what the Everton fans were on about on their site. They claimed van Dijk had tried to cripple James. They collided and that was it. Deluded comes to mind.}

I can't watch that game again I can't really enjoy anything from it. It sickens me what happened in that game. I'm really losing the will with it all. Football is becoming harder and harder to watch. Why do we get so many acls? Ings, gomez, virgil, ox 2x, half the youth team. I almost criticised gomez for his reaction to the assault on thiago but honestly that's how I'm feeling now. I'm fed up of our guys being the good guys and getting destroyed by thugs who then get no punishment. Vvd will be 30 before he's back fit let alone back upto speed as people have said in the past it can take a year of playing again before he gets back to 100%. We finally get to being the best and some virus wipes it all out and then ruins everything. This should be our time instead when our best players aren't missing games because of the virus they're injured and missing what should be their peak. This should be the time of our lives instead were getting battered by villa and kicked off the park by the bitter blues.

Yep you right look at AOC looks like he will never be the same. He was flying before his injury and would make the first 11 on his pre Roma form.

I watched just for that moment as well and yes my friend DELUDED is the word.

Mark, I think AOC's injury was way more serious cos he ruptured near every ligament in his knee (I could be wrong) unlike VVD who only did his ACL. Either way regardless of the differences, it will all depend on recovery and how the body and mental psyche of the player responds to rehabilitation processes.

Shevtchenko did his ACL and still came back to be a baller. Nabil Fekir did his ACL twice on the same knee and so did Danny Ings and they are still balling out. We just have to hope that VVD comes out the way these guys came out of their injuries and actually in the case of Ings, got better.

That's not fair Jezza . Richarlison went for the ball but his follow through caught Thiago and he was rightly sent off . Pickford came rushing off his line ( as all keepers do ) and clattered VVD, he should've been sent off but he wasn't, that's not his fault. Robertsons tackle on Allan was probably worse than both of the other tackles I've mentioned. He deliberately slid into Allan from behind knowing he had zero chance of winning the ball and he should have seen red also .

As for the hysteria I'm hearing from fellow Reds because things didn't go our way is embarrassing. We've had countless major decisions go our way in derbies for years and dismissed Evertons complaints as just being bitter .

Contact is being removed from the game making all tackles seem violent. Injuries happen in football and not all decisions go your way . To create such a fuss is not showing us in a good light .

Cloacina, Richarlison's foot was NOWHERE near the ball, IMO. Was the ball knee high? No. Was it a 50/ 50 challenge? NO. He went well over the ball and rinsed his studd on his knee at full pelt, end of story.

The only reason Thiago is not lost for the season is cause a) His foot was not planted like VVD's was and b) He saw the challenge coming and moved his leg backwards a bit to reduce the impact of the open-studded tackle. Watch the play again from all angles and you will see what I mean.

And again, I disagree that Robertson's tackle on Allan was even a thing cos Mina shoved him in the back and he then clatters into Alan. It was at best, a yellow card and nothing more and even the ref did not book him cos again, he got shoved into Allan>

Please, you are free to be gracious to Everton and all that BUT you are wrong here, IMO and glossing over stuffjust to be gracious to them does NOT help here. Very few fans I have seen esp. on SM (even rival fans) are defending Richarlison and Pickford based on their actions cos like it or not, both players are repeat offenders and until they change, they will be judged based on their own deeds.

Richarlison went for the ball? Pmsl!
He got hot headed and went in over the top.
That was never an honest challenge.
Have you ever played football?
