I had totally forgotten about Drinkwater at Chelsea. Has he been injured all season or what. In a side note what a nob for DD. The fines are a joke!

Sad about John Gittens Ed I actually remember him playing. Any sign of players coming in yet Ed001?Have a nice day mate.

{Ed001's Note - not yet, Champions League final will be keeping everything busy.}

Wow, Rakitic. does he even understand that his backtracking has fuelled the fire even further. as far as I can tell he holds "Gays" "Blacks and Fats" in equal disdain and doesn't want any of them in a changing room. to be fair THAT view is perfectly at home in Spain!
Great read as usual Ed001 mate. on a further note is it possible that you and Ed002 can get together to do an article on FFP and the abuse of it by clubs around Europe given UEFA's current recommendation that Man City be banned from the UCL after misleading European Football's financial regulators?

{Ed001's Note - I doubt we would be able to do that together, though I also doubt he would need my help with it.}

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, you too and good to see you back.}

Thanks for the review ed001 - sad news all round.

Rakitic’s story is absolutely ridiculous. I realise that a lot of footballers are stupid and poorly educated but Rakitic is a well-travelled person who should be broad minded enough to realise that those comments/ ideas are wrong.

{Ed001's Note - it is sad, Rakitic can try and backtrack all he likes but what he said was inexcusable.}

I had not read that about Rakitic before. That's absolutely shocking.

Good grief what a quote from Rakitic.

Dark days at Bolton, maybe man City can use a bit of their spare change to pay their tax bill.

I think Brighton could end up regretting sacking Hughton.

Thanks for the reply Ed001 mate. I think Rakitic goes to show why what Sterling did was important. I'm also old enough to remember poor Justin Fashanu and his suicide after declaring he was gay. We like to think the game has moved on but it hasn't. the same -isms are still deeply engendered into the sport, its institutions and its participants.
