Tim Vickery recently did an interview with Sky Sports where he mentioned that Liverpool may have interest in Pablo Maia. I did a search and i think you mentioned he would be unlikely to get a work permit - and the known interest in him seems to be from Fulham. Have you heard of any recent Liverpool interest in him?

Ed, do you think the reluctance to sign midfield reinforcements could be down to seeing how Kone's injury is going, we did seem very keen before the injury. Cheers and thanks for all the info.
