Turkish reports claiming Liverpool have completed the signing of Emre Can.

Reports say 12m pounds. A Google translation of the article also mentions a "happy ending" - I hope Ian Ayre knows what he is promising!

Omg the negativity on this page is ridiculous! I know we are all hurt from the horrible result yesterday but it is one loss this whole year! There were always going to be a couple of slip ups. It's ridiculous that everyone is questioning Rodgers tactics when everyone was amazed with our new formation that he implemented and while going on this amazing run. Top four is certainly not over, unlikely but definitely not impossible especially with man u and arsenal having tough fixtures to come. If we go the rest of the season unbeaten top four is more than possible. And won't it be sweeter now if we reach it now after all the heat we are getting from the united fans!
YNWA and in Rodgers we trust

TBH. We will have to beat Arsenal on Saturday and I can't remember the last time we won at the Emirates.

2.) 24 Mar 2015 11:46:14
Not that long ago Fast-and-furious, under Kenny in the 2011/2012 season a certain Mr Suarez scored 2 goals to give us a 0-2 win. Our win was against the odds then, let's hope its repeated on Saturday.

3.) 24 Mar 2015 13:01:46
Not that long ago? 3 seasons ago is a long time Roy.

4.) 24 Mar 2015 17:32:38
Problem is Roy, we don't have a world class match winner any more.

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.

This really is getting ridiculous! I think LFC must sell Suarez. We defended him too many times but after a great season when it seems he has overcome his problems, they have entered back. I don't think this will affect LFC much in terms of bans so it probably won't make a difference to any other clubs trying to buy him. I would certainly take 50m plus Sanchez.

Hey eds and reds,
Just wanted to say what a great season and we were so unfortunate not to finish top. But having said that at least it was to man city and not a team we hate like man u or chelsea. A quick question. would you guys take shaw and lallana for 50m. I personally would as I think shaw would be amazing value for money because I see him being a top player for 10+ years. As for lallana I feel he has been excellent and would add something different to our attacking play.

Zboy99

1.) No. Shaw is massively overrated in my opinion and not worth at this point in his career near what Soton want for him. Last rumour I saw had him at £27M which is just crazy.

Alba was £12M a few years back, Rodriguez was £7M, Azpilicueta was £7M, Sandro was £8M, Nagatomo was £4M, Enrique was £7M, Criscito was £13M, etc, etc. If Shaw does end up going for £27M+ I think that will make him the most expensive LB in football history? . For me, for £27M at LB you'd better be world class now, not perhaps maybe potentially world class in several years.

2.) I think if we could get brad smith's confidence as close to arrogance as possible he could be our answer to luke shaw.

3.) I couldn't afford either so no

4.) I would doubt we would have £50 million to spend without sales, so I rather not blow it all on a very expensive, but a very good, LB.

5.) 12 May 2014 09:00:03
RDL.

Sorry, But Shaw is not overrated and the price quoted is beyond his control. The Lad is quality, the best LB in EPL.

6.) He is overrated, which is why Manchester United are bidding £27 million for him. Fairly easy to understand that Harry, but you may need to read it twice or thrice.

7.) I;ve no idea about exchange rates, but Coentrao went for 30 million euros to real. It'll be close. I don't think he's overrated at all. I think he's overpriced which is completely different.

Hey reds,
Is it just me or is Mourhino a very ordinary manager. He needs a team that are worth ridiculous amounts of money to play the most dire football in the league! I say Mourhnio is just like Allerdyce or Pulis but with milllions more to spend! It only works on the big teams because they try and play football so Chelsea can just counter.

Zboy99

1.) I think jose is a good in fact top manager in big games but he's negative that's for sure but I think once they have top strikers in next year he won't be half as negative just has no faith in his strikers but chelsea can be horrible to watch at times they should play how they did against psg second leg they have the players to do it

2.) Don't be a fool.

3.) Spot on ZBoy99, no different to Pullis or Allerdyce. Only difference is he's managed teams who can spend millions on the best wingers in the world and robust strikers who can do the lone striker role.

4.) 04 May 2014 19:38:45
Gilbet,

By Strikers you mean someone who starts attack from the half way line and scores some goals.
They had 24 shots off target today and 6 on target, compared to Norwich 4.
A, Diego Costa or Cavani wouldn't do any magic, Since the team lacks creativity.
I know Torres, Ettoo, and BA are not world class strikers anymore, But surely they would score 5/10 chances inside the box. How many do they get per game?
I have watched Chelsea close, and TBF they play very negative, which has nothing to do with Torres, Etto or BA.
I am 110% sure, Torres would hit at least 15 goals for any sides apart Chelsea.
Hazzard and Luiz was benched, shows whose the Boss.

5.) It only works against top teams because top team want to win therefore they attack. against smaller teams it doesn't help them because the smaller teams don't need to attack a draw is a wonderful result against a top 3 team. 0-0 for shame!

6.) He wouldn't get jobs at big clubs with big budgets and win titles domestically and in Europe if he wasn't a good manager.

7.) 05 May 2014 11:04:17
Ken

That being said, This is his last ideal club, wouldn't enter Spain in a decade, So as Italy, Who else remains?, PSG.
His wages are very high, Would be interesting, He is the only manager not to get sacked after a trophyless seaosn.

8.) Lads, he's a hypocrite sometimes but you make yourselves look daft if you say he's not a good manager. Chelsea had money before he came. Only he won the title after 50 years and did if again. Inter hadn't won Serie A for donkey's years. Barca were top dogs in Spain but he still won La Liga in his 2 seasons. He's won the CL twice with arguably the two least resourced clubs he's managed. If you want to have a pop stick to Mourinho the man rather than the manager because the fact is he wins and that's what coaches are paid to do. If you just want entertainment join the circus.

9.) He is a very good manager who had a bad season in terms of goals and style but not in terms of results

Do any of you guys see Man Ciy slipping up at all? With both Aston Villa and West Ham not playing for much the pressure is off for them and hopefully they will have a right go. Aston Villa have got a decent counter attack with fast players and if West ham play the way they did against Spurs today they might pull of a shock. Hopefully Carroll and Downing will help us out in the final game of the season!

Zboy99

1.) Let's beat Palace, first. Won't be easy. We then go into last match with an outside chance. At start of season we would all have thought we were on another planet, had we'd been told that would be the case. That said, at the moment I can't help but feel deflated. I was there the last time we lifted it and didn't think back then that 24 years later I would still be awaiting the 19th. My son was born that year and so as still not seen us win it. I'm really sorry for the negative post! I will be more positive tomorrow.!

2.) I don't see city dropping more points

I would love to see Bony in Liverpool colors! He has had a great season with a below average team and would be a great back up to ad something different to our game.

I'm sorry but i'd rather have Bony then Benzema and Higuain who are so called 'world class'. Bony has proven he is a top goal scorer and offers us a better option. It's not like we can replace Suarez so why not replace him with a different type of player?

No he is not overrated. He is really annoying and a 'disgrace' but he is an excellent player. I believe he is in the top three cdm's in the world!
