Does anybody think that James McCarthy would be a good fit for dm for liverpool
1.) 30 Jul 2015 13:55:02
McCarthy had the chance to sign for Liverpool a few years ago and refused unless he was given guarenteed playing time.

James McCarthy is very much like Henderson, He play alongside a DM ( Barry )
3.) 30 Jul 2015 15:03:58
McCarthy isn't really a DM. He is very much a box-to-box player similar to Henderson. We need a player who is good at sitting in front of the back four and directing play, not one who charges around, we have Milner & Hendo to do that.

What he is actually is brilliant at playing the high pressing game. You don't get much time on the ball with him around. That said I agree we don't need him and a world class DM to rotate with Lucas would be my choice.
In the real world we need to sell and balance the books before we even consider any more players.

We already have Hendo who is better than him along with Can and Milner so we`re good there. Also, I wouldn`t touch him for the price Neverton would want for him

@Red Lenin, it's a good thing to see a young player turn down a big club in order to get first team games to develop, in my opinion it is anyway.
He'd be after a season in the reserves followed by two dodgy loan seasons and he'd be for sale now for £4m and he'd only be worth £1m. Going to smaller clubs to play isn't a bad thing.
