Good old sky, have the chance to grill Howard Webb on var, yet give the most simple examples of the times the referees got it right. Not the 90% they get wrong. No absolute howler decisions shown or explained. Unreal.

Not true. Just showed the Brentford v Bournemouth game where he has admitted that the pen shouldn’t have been given. They don’t get 90% wrong as bad as they can be at times.

That was just a blatant PR exercise for VAR from the David Brent of referees Howard Webb.

It was embarrassing, you’ve got the walking talking soundbite that’s currently in charge of the officiating in this country and you don’t quiz him on how a player can punch another player in the face causing a broken nose and escape punishment. There’s a pen full of chimps in Stockley Park on your payroll looking at it from 10 different angles, in slow motion and freeze frame yet they still get in wrong.

Typical from Sky, what an opportunity they had but they completely wasted it. I don’t know why we would expect anything else.
