ed001 with Lallana and Clyne going on free transfers do you expect Curtis Jones and Neco Williams to take there place in the squad. I know Clyne was not part of the team but it will be good to get him of the wage bill. I think the same could be said about Lallana to think his made 15 Appearances in the league this season but 12 from the sub bench, The last 3 season have all been around the same so to get his wages off the bill will be a nice as well. Two big earners that have not really done a lot over the last 3 season.

Exciting times for some of youngsters. An opportunity they may not of got if the club was in a different position financially.

Really keen to see how both these kids fair when their opportunities come cos I think they could be real gems for the club esp. Williams who I rate pretty high. Don't sleep on Harvey Elliot either cos if Real Madrid want to sign you as a 16 yr old then you ain't no slouch.

Ed001 I don’t see it being much of a push for Jones to take Lallan’s place if anything I would hope he plays more than what he has done. As for Williams think he looks great cover for Trent to give him a rest or to even give him some game time in midfield.

{Ed001's Note - Lallana had lost a step due to injury, so I agree, Jones looks like he could easily fill his shoes. Williams similarly on the right could be very good cover.}

I doubt trent in midfield is a option any more either

What happened to Hoover he looked a real talent to me but is he not a Centre half or is he seen as to small for that position.

Interesting discussion regarding Lallana's replacement. Jones is obviously talented but isn't he still a bit young? He may need another season or so to break in to the team. I think the player more suited and ready for our 1st team would be Grujic. He's had a decent season in Germany and he does seem to want another chance with us. He can play the AM roles as well. Having said that, I feel Jones does have a higher ceiling than Grujic.
Thoughts on Grujic eds and reds?

{Ed002's Note - There is no guarantee Grujic would get a Work Permit and I don't think Liverpool are planning on him - particularly given the issue with non Home Grown slots available.}
