I'm not a betting man but just looked at the odds for winners of the Premier League. All the betting sites have Man City as odds on favourites. I have to say that surprises me. Liverpool are one point clear and have an easier run in. For anyone who thinks put my money where my mouth is, I'm far too superstitious to bet on Liverpool and jink it!

Does it matter at all mate?
This is business end of it. We right in the mix, every chance to win this championship.

Not referring to you specifically, but I sometimes feel our fans' minds are all over the place, latching onto and consuming every piece crap talk/ info in the media space.

Just recently some fans had even dismissed the team as "rubbish", bemoaning how we'd "bottled it", a narrative emanating from and fuelled by the media.
It was City in December. Spurs followed and we had our mild turn.
They at it again with Spurs and and waiting with bated breath for to stick to us.

Sadly the many fickle of our fans get suckered into this nonsense and then project it onto the team.
It's THEY who are the "bottlers" here, not the team.
They been at it again since the game yesterday.

And the amount of abuse directed at Sturridge tells you all you need to know. What chance these are the same lot who abused Lucas, Hendo, Lovren?

Moaning at every little thing and always, ALWAYS (conveniently) blind to the bigger picture. Embarrassing stuff really.
How unreasonable would it be suggest that if the team wins the title, they'd have done it to a great extent IN SPITE OF, rather than because of, the fans?

What's needed right now is a single focus: supporting the team and seeing them over the finishing line. Nothing else. Doesn't matter how it's done so long as it's done.
Team's in the trenches, hoes and shovels in hand. Let's desist from behaviour that makes us a burden on the boys, please.

The better can do what they like and regardless of that, City ain't seen the top of the PL since early Dec. (all games being equal) . so they are free to do what they like. All we have to do is focus on one game at a time and the longer we are on top, the more desperate our rivals will become. LET'S GO!

We’ve still got to play Everton, Chelsea and Spurs. I don’t think the run in is that easy. The last game of the season is wolves, they have shown that on their day, can be a match for any team.

Xolani, well said, good post. My only quibble with your post is that I wouldn’t necessarily describe the moaners, abusers and negative lot as ‘fans’, I would describe them as fair-weather hangers on. Real Liverpool fans do not behave like that. We are top of the PL with 11 games to go for goodness sake, not struggling in mid-table or worse. Real Liverpool fans will get behind the team and roar them on to the PL title.

It makes sense that City are favourites if you look at form, we were 7 ahead, now we are 1 ahead. It's looking more likely that unless we string a couple of wins together that City will edge past us.
Being a fan doesn't mean you have to be deluded.

{Ed025's Note - it will go to the wire for me dean, both teams will drop points i can assure you of that, tiredness and nerves will be the factors of who will succeed and at this point i cant split them mate..

Spot on, Ed. City have been favs. all season long and even if we went 7 clear, NOTHING would have been decided with 14/ 15 games left at the time so to me, that is a non argument.

But hang on a minute, Isn't this what we all wanted? What we all have always wanted? To be in the thick of a genuine title race with 10/ 11 games left? So now that we are in the thick of it, going against the best and most expensive team ever assembled in English top flight history people seem scared? Being nervous is good cos it means you are human.

We must not allow that to overcome us cos if it does, that is the choice we would have made cos as we all know, fear is a choice. So Let's embrace this new position and stand alongside these boys and manager and help them over the line. YNWA!

.

{Ed025's Note - this is where the supporters can help redwolf, not moaning and sighing at every missed chance or misplaced pass because it filters right through to the players..

Absolutely, Ed25. In my amateur career in France, I remember playing a game, a derby game where the fans were cheering all game each time we got the ball and on the attack. It was awesome cos I could hear them and we knew we were being backed. We won that game and the fans undoubtedly helped esp. when we were under the cosh.

I mean, look at the atmosphere at OT last night. It was bouncing and so loud I could hear them thru the telly. If anyone thinks these fans did not help Utd overcome the adversity the did then they need to go watch golf. THE FANS MATTER, end of story.

I know our boys will improve BUT the fans have to help them out at Anfield. These boys can't do it w/ o us, man. They simply can't. I mean, this is a TRUE title push, the first we frankly, have EVER had since the PL began. So let's bring the noise at Anfield till the end of the season. Let the players know that come hell or high water, we will NOT abandon them. Not right now. YNWA!

Betting sites set their odds based on their leverage. It has nothing to do with who will win whatever, it’s about protecting their business.

The players need a kick up the behind. Salah needs to crack a smile, Bobby needs to put his shooting boots on and Mane needs a slice of luck.

Forget about the betting sites! There are there to make money out of your emotions. If we win the next 11 games we win the league and the betting sites can go and kick their legs!
Klopp has been given everything he has asked for! Most expensive defender, most expensive GK, most expensive midfielder, a front three that’s worth more than £300 mill in total. We should win atleast one trophy this season and klopp has put all the eggs in one basket. He is responsible.

JAN, and you are just here to moan. I have NEVER read any of your posts on this forum when we were winning and now cos we did not win at OT of all places, here you are. If you are here to blame Klopp for getting us to where we are (Pep spent way more than Klopp has btw) then pls, be ready for the harsh responses that your convenient moaning deserves. PEACE!

I agree Ed025, with Fernandinho and laporte out there is a change they drop points over the next couple of weeks.
I'm just confused as to how we fix our problems right now, as everyone has mentioned, Salah and Firminio aren't firing, but then again, its not like we have any quality on the bench to take them out. Studge and Origi aren't the same level, and shaq's performances aren't there. We just seem to lack any "spark" going forward.
and people are allowed to voice their opinions whether people agree or not, this is a forum after all :P.

{Ed025's Note - you will both drop points dean thats a given, its who drops the most that will be the telling factor mate, liverpool need to find that spark up front and start scoring more to put the opposition on the back foot..
