Hey Square Tomato / Ed's

Just a thought, but considering Gomez's pace, etc. Why hasn't Klopp played him in front of the back 2?
I think he would be truly awesome there - especially in games against teams that are more attacking like City / Ars etc.?

He's played LB under Brendan, and RB under Klopp but never in MF?

hes doing very well as a CB and complements van dijk very well. really don't see a reason to move him elsewhere. CB partnerships are harder to build really imo.

I’m not sure if pace is the main attribute people look for when picking a central midfielder.

We have decent central midfielders so why play him in midfield?

Nah, I expect him to be our long term CB for years to come, keep him to what he's used to and good at. TAA in midfield? sure but not Gomez.
