Morning ed, cheers mate hope you have a good day. Well, I'm sure you will when you're celebrating the win tonight! :) .

{Ed001's Note - it's been good so far seeing the smile wiped off that prick McGregor's face. Just need us to win now!}

Hahaha I know mate, who's laughing now, I can't bloody stand the man. I didn't see the fight but really happy to hear he had to tap out lol bloody hilarious, he's just all mouth and can't back himself up. An absolute gob person who shouldn't be in the sport.

{Ed001's Note - not just that, he had resorted to racially abusing his opponent before the fight, insulted his family, his religion and his nation all before cheating throughout the fight while the UFC condoned it all. It was so good to see Khabib win despite all that.}

Yeah Khabib dominated him from pretty much the outset. I don't like that grappling at all, find it boring to watch, but cannot argue against its effectiveness and it basically destroyed McGregor. What Khabib did afterwards was a disgrace though, almost inciting a riot whilst his cronies attack a guy, a guy whose just been through 4 gruelling round, with sucker punches? Very, very ugly. It'll probably help to sell a rematch even more but, after dominating so much, what a stupid way to finish the match. Could've walked out of it a hero - instead walked out a complete person who probably lost the respect of most watching. Bizarre scenes!

Thanks for the news Ed, hope you're well.

Morning everyone.
I hate to promote a certain radio station that talks about sport, but there’s an interview with Steve McMahon and Graeme Sharp on at 8.00 pm tonight, which sounds interesting.
Marca is a bit of an unsung Liverpool hero, he was a brilliant player for the Reds.
I didn’t know that Bob Paisley wanted him when he was due to go to Villa from Everton. Good for us that he returned though.

Cheers Ed001, nice read. I'm a little worse for wear after the Mcgregor fight, but recovering. Makes for a nice way to start the day.

Either way do you think Rabiot deserves a recall? I think his talent isn't questionable but he handled the France situation terribly. I don't rate Deschamps (as a coach, terrific player) but I can understand his reasoning.

{Ed001's Note - tough one that one. I would want to know exactly what happened and what was said, before I decided. It is all very well saying he pulled out, but Deschamps has not handled him well before then and it is clear he doesn't see him as someone he particularly wants in the squad anyway. He might have felt Deschamps was never going to include him, no matter what, so why not just take the time to go and relax and recover for the following season?}

Yeah, but what happened after the fight was embarassing. Hopefully it was just emotion of all of the abuse getting the best of him instead of thuggery. I'm sure White is all smiles though because he'll really rake it in if there is a rematch.

It makes me wonder how the UFC can condone any of that type of behaviour Ed mate, there's no place for that in any sport but it's probably because Dana White is too far up Mcgregors backside. I wouldn't care how close I was to him if it was me I'd make sure he never fought in the UFC again. It's fine having an argument and being all hyped up before a fight, sure, that happens but when it comes down to other stuff etc it's totally wrong and actions need to be taken.

The rematch may be a long way off if the gaming commission ban Khabib for a long period. The only other example I can think of was the Mike Tyson one and he was banned for a year and fined $3 million, he did bite a mans ear off though.

KHabib didn't get paid last night, as the commision withheld his fight money.
I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Khabib again in the UFC.

{Ed001's Note - the way he was treated amounted to out and out racism, he would be better off out of there. None of those comments McGregor made regarding Khabib's nation, race or religion should have been allowed. Dana White laughed at racist jokes made at Khabib's expense. You goad someone like that, how do you expect them to react? The UFC is a disgrace for the way they allowed McGregor to drag the build up into the gutter for the viewing figures. I hope Khabib walks away from it as an undefeated, undisputed champion.}

agree 100% Ed.

{Ed001's Note - he can go to any other promotion and make them a fortune.}

Connor has a mouth on him and over stepped the line.

Ultimately though Khabib and co were assaulting spectators. He showed his true colours last night in my book.

No better or more noble than the rest of them despite his high horse approach.
