Hi Eds and reds.

I'm asking as I have a couple of friends who support them.

Why is Preston North End never a destination we see any of our loanees go to. They're a solid unit, play decent football in the final third and pretty much always exceed wveryone's expectiations on how well they do. They're also very local to Liverpool, making it easy to keep track of their progress.

I just find it a little strange that they are never mentioned as a potential loan destination.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool is only know trying to break out of a random and last minute approach to unplanned loans. Preston like any other side could express and interest in players and then the club can look at the options for individual players. Eventually the club will look to building relationships with other sides that can be beneficial to both.}

Thanks for the reply Ed002. I just thought it would be one of the clubs we'd like to be in cahoots with. They're not a big club financially, so every season they always have a few loanees that do well.

{Ed002's Note - To be honest I don’t know enough about PNE Eric. The good news is that the club do seem to be taking baby steps toward addressing one of the shortcomings.}

Sorry ed, are you saying we now seem to have some sort of plan/ foundations of a plan regarding loans and our fringe/ young players?

Can you see us following the Chelsea model and building a relationship similar to the one they have with Vitesse?

{Ed002's Note - Certainly Liverpool are starting to move in that direction. It will take along time.}

Ed002 I personally think the Chelsea model is a good one. As there is a structure and a plan for the players. How long did it take Chelsea to get it running?

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps four years and it has been running to a similar concept for perhaps 7 or 8 years.}

Liverpool had an arrangement with KRC Genk in Belgium from 2010-2014 but it never seemed to develop as expected. African and South American players that signed for Liverpool were to be loaned to Genk where it was easier to get work permits. Such an arrangement would be ideal with players like Allan and Awoniyi (who coincidently has been loaned to KAA Gent) .

{Ed002's Note - That is because there was no viable plan.}

Interesting thread on the loan aspect of the club, great insight as ever Ed002.

I’ve always wondered the same epic when it comes to loanees and Preston. Would seem like a great choice at the moment with there current manager and playing style.
